I used the Neewer cage as my daily driver for a couple of months and it’s pretty handy. But, then I find myself going back to my Action 5 for fishing and Pocket 3 for vlogging. 😅
Hey I’ve been glued to your content for the last month, I’m more photography based but I’m really interested to learn more video skills. I’m currently using a n iPhone 13 pro & 8 plus with m series moment lenses and a few Neewer 17mm lenses. I’m really considering upgrading to the 15 pro/promax, Would I be missing out by not jumping up to the 16 or is the 15 a worthy stepping stone to again letter upgrade to the 16 or whichever phone is current at the time of future upgrade. I’m really most curious to see the jump in image quality from the 12mp 13 pro up to the 48mp in the 15
Based on your description the 15 Pro should be fine. It’s more or less the same as the 16 Pro. The main difference is in video we get 4K 120 frames per second now and then the ultra wide is better for photography, but not video. The 48MP sensor in combination with ProRAW really is game changing though from those earlier phones. Thanks for watching!
@@iphoneographers thanks for your response! I appreciate it big time, I love how easy to access things are with iPhone cameras and they initially started me on the photography journey and now here we are back to iPhones from full body cameras to learn video and experiment with all this cool tech. I know you’ve used a bunch of neewer LS lenses, have you used the pro ones wi5 the blue ring? I recently got the 85mm ls-59 and it’s really nice, I’m working on some perspective content to post along with the moment m series telephoto
Huge fan of the Kino camera app - but its stabilization is observably inferior to both the native camera app and the BlackMagic camera app. C’mon guys - time to step up your game!
You need to buy better filters. 😃 Cheap filters will often have color shifts. And depending on the camera or setup it could also be IR pollution. I’ve not had any issues with the Moment ones. I tend to stick with them or Freewell or Polar Pro. Or use solid ND instead of a VND.
5:08 Thank you! Guess all those years of obsessing over every detail paid off! So glad you’re loving it.
Yes indeed, it’ great!
The Neewer cage is great because it allows users to mount professional, non-proprietary VND filters, with or without a step up ring.
Thanks for the video, Blake, Happy New Year from a Dutch Aussie viewer. I look forward to seeing more of your videos in 2025.
Happy New Year! Thanks for your continued support and watching the channel.
Great video--thanks for making.
Great list, Blake! I'm especially intrigued by the Lexar SSD - can't wait to get my hands on it.
I picked up a 2TB Lexar SSD with the hub a month ago. Love! Definitely a must-have item!
Really solid camera work.

Yeah it’s definitely sometimes nice to have a dedicated camera that you can just hit record on and let it go. I use Osmo Actions some too.
Fantastic list, how about a video on the BEST Lens Brand of 2024?
Thanks! I’ve done several lens review videos this year ICYMI check my channel. And I’ll do more in 2025.
This moment quicklock nd filter is compatible with any other case (maybe one having 17mm lens adapter)?
No, it’s designed to use with their cases.
How did you mount the Lexar portable SSD to the Freewell mount? Great video by the way
It comes with a cold shoe adapter that I just mounted to the handle. Thanks for watching!

5:29 you know what they say always at dinner in our toddler days, "You'll never know unless you try it!"
Ha, yep
Nice

I haven’t noticed a big difference, but that’s good to know! It is still pretty early in its development, but I’m liking the direction for sure.
❤
Thank you so much ❤
If only I knew how to stop black shirts looking like maroon or red shirts when I use VND on my iPhone 15 Pro/Max .. 😩

@ thanks! I had got this K&F Concept Nano Pro VND it was $150!
iPhone 16 pro, check, Kino app check, the Neewer cage, check.
