Hollywood needs to pay the bills every now and then. They’ll use the funds to push the next 3 propaganda films.
They lost more than a billion dollars last year, perhaps much more. They can't use this money to fund 3 more guaranteed box office failures, since even with this movie they are going to still be deep in the red. They'll need multiple "more than a billion" movies for several years to get out of the situation the company is in right now.

tons of propaganda in this one, just more subtle than the usual. i think when the brand blindness wears off from the solid fan service (the costumes, the cameos, the references), it'll probably be the kind of movie where, ten years from now you'll go "hey i kind of want to watch an old xmen-ish movie. how bout deadpool and wolverine? eeeeeh, actually how about logan, days of future past, or deadpool 1 instead".
Its funny how the movies that are made for the fans and respect the original characters make the most cultural impact while the ones that don't are easily forgotten about. Disney should be taking notes but we all know they won't in the longrun.

i enjoyed myself a lot more than i thought i would. Ryan and Hugh are phenomenal together. Channing Tatum nailed Gambit to a Tee: costume, accent, powers. And the theater went berserk when a certain somebody said: "There is only one Blade!". I haven't seen such a cheerful crowd reaction since Spiderman: No Way Home when Andrew and Tobey entered the stage. God knows when we will have another entertaining marvel movie like this.

Yep, after this it’s straight to Captain America 4, Agatha All Along, Thunderbolts, Female Silver Surfer and Iron Heart. This movie was a goodbye to BOTH Fox and the MCU

The Deadpool movies are comedies: the plot is just not that important given the amount of times they break the 4th wall, that's kinda a given... i'll take this love letter to fans and thank both Reynolds and Jackman for actually caring.

Completely agreed. The stuff with Cassandra Nova and the TVA was a mess, but Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds are absolutely gold together, and the cameos and nostalgia was super fun. It’s barely an MCU movie, it’s basically a love letter to the Fox movies.

It was pretty straightforward actually, the TVA group wasn’t doing what the rest of the TVA is supposed to and wanted to control the multiverse and take control of the whole TVA itself and Cassandra Nova wanted to be left alone until Paradox screwed her over then she wanted to eliminate the multiverse and have nothing but the void left. Pretty simple stuff right there.

Just got out of the movie, and holy hell, Ryan Reynolds brings narcissism to a whole new level. What an obnoxious movie this ended up being. It was nothing more than joke after joke after joke after cameo after cameo after cameo. And that was annoying because the storyline and plot was soo weak, they clearly needed the cameos to drive the movie. That's pathetic. I almost walked out during the opening scene because it was so obnoxious. Just Ryan Reynolds loving himself like no other. Jesus, this was terrible.

Didn't know I could still enjoy a movie so much. Deadpool & Wolverine reminded me what it was like to have fun at the movies.
Deadpool and Wolverine is a pure love letter to fans. Ryan and Hugh made it possible. This took back to the golden days of marvel from late 90s. Ryan and Hugh had absolute fun making this. And the best extended cameo was Wesley Snipes Blade, my theater erupted at his appearance, his classic ice skate up hill line😂....
Loved Comic accurate Wolverine, the blood and gore, Deadpool's hilarious mocking of MCU, his jokes. This movie is a one off and douchney will go back to their usual way...flop after flop...

I didn't expect Wesley Snipes to be in this movie, and was completely floored by the reveal. I grew up with the Blade trilogy, which is still my favorite vampire movies of all time. Not to mention that Gambit has probably always been my favorite mutant at least in terms of powers and design, so I had a very good time in the cinema! XD
