Hello! She's lovely.. I'm a longtime BJD/doll collector. I own legit BJDs and that's my choice, however, if owning a recast means you get to have one or more of these diverse and amazing dolls, I have no objection. After all, not everyone can afford to buy a legit doll. Most of mine are 2nd hand, I live in the UK, and object strongly to paying the huge amount of shipping and custom fees on top of an already astronomical amount some of these legit dolls cost. Don't get me started on waiting times which I will say is stupidly way tooooooooo long. She's lovely, and her face up is easily as good as some high end dolls I've seen. Hate is a terrible thing to lay at a person's feet, especially just for having a doll. A doll is a doll, whoever made it doesn't matter, it brings joy and happiness into a person's life. This world of ours is crazy at present, with much sadness and loss for some. So do everyone a favour, if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing. It's a doll, plastic and nothing more. They did a nice job on her clothing, very like the Leekie World dolls who have a SD sized bottom and MSD top, buying separates maybe a better option, and as for dresses, small SD dresses with a pin to pull it in at the back and a MSD cardigan can hid a multitude of sins! ❤️❤️👍😁
That's a good idea to look at some SD sized dresses to see if I can tweak them a bit. And you're totally right- dolls are meant to bring joy and happiness to a person, so disparaging someone just b/c they chose to buy a doll they could afford is just wrong in my book.
I agree 100% about recasts. It’s ridiculous that you basically have to hide the fact that you own recast dolls just to avoid being attacked by insane doll collectors. Anyways, I love this doll! I just might purchase one! Her face is super precious.
I bought and am waiting on my 1st bjd! She's a recast because I want to make sure I love these type of dolls before I invest in an expensive artist piece. I have other dolls that are " not original ". I love them all no matter what. All doll should be loved
I agree with you. I'm still a kid so I don't have enough money to buy legit doll, so I used my summer money to buy a recast doll from hehebjd (which is yet to arrive). People always have their circumstances, and bjd dolls are so expensive (and gorgeous), u can't blame other for wanting to buy them, even when they are low on budget, thus as long as the buyer is happy, why does it matter if it' a recast or not. Everyone deserve to have fun after all.
I know this is an old comment, but I also bought my first recast as a kid! I saved up all summer money too. It was a 1/3 scale. If I bought a legit of him, I probably would’ve afforded his hand😂😂
Same here. I can't even afford a recast lol since i'm a student. I ended up buying aliexpress plastic doll that have sculp like bjd. But it's good for my mental health at least i can soothe my craving for few years until i get a job and earn money by myself
I agree with you. I am all for recasts and more affordable dolls and people who bully others that are for the recast makes doll collectors look bad. At the end of the day someone buying a recast isn't hurting you or threatening your safety so just move on. No one is forcing you to watch the reviews or buy recasts.

It's a shame that people get hate just for talking about something they love. I left the comments pretty open on the first video to show that I was open to all opinions, as long as they weren't really hurtful. That being said, I had to delete a few b/c they were just mean. And I hope your love your doll and she isn't strung as tightly as mine!!!!

I'm okay with recast, because I'm an artist and I need to practice on dolls, but I'm not gonna take a rare Blythe doll off the market, when someone else would love her the way she is.

I missed this video, she’s a lovely doll. If you want skirts to fit her just buy shirts that fit her waist measurement’s that that snap down in the back, and her feet size doesn’t matter.

Have you tried buying Glitter girls clothes. They fit my original chloe, I did made some alterations. How ever you may find some that fit ruru. It's affordable. Let me know if it helps.

Yeah-- a lot of groups are like that. Doll collecting is supposed to be fun! You shouldn't have to worry about if your doll fits certain criteria. All the recasts I've bought have been good quality, so I say if you think you'll love it, go for it.

Your doll is really cute! Does “recast” means that the doll is made from some kind of mould in bulk production? And the mould is made from original BJD model designed by designer with formal authorization (not pirated copy)?
Recast means that a mould has been re-produced from another. Some BJD designers might authorize people to do this, but in most cases when BJD's are concerned, recasts are done without permission.

It's her size that makes that complicated. She's a pretty unique size so its hard to find cheap pre-made clothing for her that would be velcro or use snaps.

ChinaBJD and this one I ordered from have always treated me well. The best way to tell is to look at reviews for the stores.
