Two very limiting navy assignments but important in their own rights. The two vessels he served on (that I'm aware of, anyway) weren't exactly state of the art warships and it seems like a long, long time to serve on just two small craft. I wonder if he had other assignments that we didn't hear about.
Yes. I tried to remember what year he passed away. Figured it was probably 5 or 6 years ago. Couldn’t believe it when I found it’s getting close to 10 years already.

Ernie was a class act & I agree w/him about his Navy service. I was a Navy Corpsman, Third Class and served from 1964 - 1968.
