great! can you explain what is splunkbase apps are? im trying to download the bots v3 dataset but it require a lot of adds on/apps to download but it wont let me download any app im not sure what is the issue here
Strange, I could not connect to the web interface ( connection refused) when using the automated install method on Linode and had to do a manual start from opt/splunk/bin. Any ideas?
10/19/2022 Clicked on the Linode link, filled everything out just to get an email stating my account was canceled due to "activity or patterns associated with fraudulent behavior." wtf?
Hackerspoit. I'd like to say thanks for the extra tidbits you throw in on top of simple tutorial and walkthrough videos. The way you describe the difficulty of gaining mastery in the field resonates with me in a profound way. CSU Long Beach did not prepare me for the level of specialization that I needed and the ability to view your library of fundamentals at any time has been indescribably helpful. I wish more instructors felt the way that you do and did not just teach us a skillset without the prerequisite theory.

Linode requires a Credit Card for signup. I see that Linode is aggressively signing up the TH-camrs; Alexis, Network Chuck et al.
