"Band-Maid is the band that you experience"...yep, absolutely! I've experienced Band-Maid 6 times, and each experience was different and awesome that made me want to come back for more, PO!🕊💕
There is an interesting story behind "Black Hole". According to Akane, Kanami asked her how fast she could drum. Akane said around 190 bpm. Then Kanami went off and wrote "Black Hole" that peaks at 220 bpm! So Akane goes and writes the drum patterns for the track. She wrote 7, for the band to choose which one. She labelled them: 1. Easy 2. Comfortable 3. Normal 4. Possible if I work hard 5. Tough 6. Painfull 7. Hell Akane said "Of course, the band chose Hell"!
MISA, their bassist, stated that "Manners" was one of her favorite Band-Maid songs to play. Her bass is so prevalent throughout that song that it's what I call a "funk groove". It is definitely one of my favorites. "Black Hole" surprised me the first time I heard it and I didn't know what to think about it. After listening to it several times I came to appreciate it because Kanami wanted to write a song with a drumbeat so fast that Akane had to improve her technique. It is pure shred metal with a 220 BPM pace. Akane list the songs she plays from "Easy" to "Hell". Black Hole is definitely has a "Hell" beat, but, man, is it a lot of fun.
Manners definitely has a classic rock groove to it. Black Hole is an assault on the senses You are spot on about they are a band that you experience live.
If Band-Maid isn't ripping your face off (Rinne, No God, Black Hole), they're soothing your soul (Bestie, Daydreaming, Manners). Their music does what great music is supposed to do... move you, if only for a moment, into another realm. What more could you ask for from a Band of incredible Maids?! Thank you, Jacob, for bringing your new viewers into the Band-Maid experience.
Only one more day left. So sad. Band-Maid week two coming to a YT near you...soon? I've been to a bunch of Okyu-ji's and you should go and see them as soon as possible. As the great Pigeon Miku would say...."You have only 2 choices... See us live. Or...See us live" PO!🕊 🤘😆🤘
Band-Maid shows more musical diversity here than most bands show in 40+ years. If you get the opportunity to go to a Band-Maid concert, do it. I've seen them several times and they still manage to surpass my expectations. I'm not expecting any North American shows this year, but I think they'll be back next year (probably Europe, too).
It's great to see you enjoying yourself in your reactions. My only disappointment is that Daydreaming didn't make it onto your list, but then, what would it replace? 🤔
My list was made up of the most requested songs at the time. when I started doing reactions to them I got an overwhelming amount so I just picked the most requested ones for the week!
This version of Manners is a no brainer, almost all just loves it. The MV for the same song is also good, but do not come close to this. MISA! MISA! MISA! I mean, bass rules! OK, she get lots of support from Akane on drums and then later Kanami on guitar. But MISA is 80% of this song. Black Hole is a totally different beast. It is complicated. It is not only and mainly fast, it is its complicated structure that hits you. First time I heard it I actually did not like it and I thought that it destroyed this dual video. But now I have heard it many times, and it grows on me every time. All band members have their own role and play/sing different things. They are just keeping the same tempo and I assume chord structure. But otherwise, they are just doing parallel songs. Its cute when Kanami plays ratatata and Miku echoes it singing. All of a sudden they had a connection. There are many such meetings in the song, which holds the chaos together.
Manners- MISA MISA MISA Black Hole- Akane Akane Akane My only disappointment is that Akane's bass drum mix is weak. I can't really hear that crazy double bass. When I heard the album I thought it would be impossible to play live, but they did it with ease.
Thank y'all for 900 Subscribers! ❤

yeah tbh, I don't think I even heard the double bass. I gotta listen to the studio version
One question. Are you in a noisy environment? There is lots of noise. Mostly when you speak but also during the video.
