After watching this I built a tabletop fast urbie. Movement Points: 10 walk, 15 run, 20 MASC. The little guy is also kitted out with 6 ER Mediums and double heatsinks. Runs a little hot, but... I'm pretty sure that nobody will expect him to move like he does
Great matches, Baradul. I'm usually not a huge fan of the Urbie but this one is ridiculous. I dropped like 50 skill points into it and ran it stock, my first match with it was 1400 dmg and 6 kills. It's honestly a great mech, I really enjoyed it.
I have noticed a pattern with your play style Baradul, specifically with close range pokey weapons. Both games you mentioned team damage and both times you had run up on an enemy and popped around a corner to shoot the enemy with 3 or 4 friendly mechs behind you. While your dodging and movement is good at keeping you from being hit by enemies, it also puts you directly in the path of your friends weapons, often after you have "faked out" a movement around a corner 2 or 3 times. I appreciate that you don't get mad at your team mates for team damage. I don't see you changing your play style, nor a need to, but it is something I have noticed and it always strikes me a little humorously that you are surprised your team mates accidentally clip you in those instances. Big fan of MW5 content, currently doing a coop campaign with my brother and using a number of your recommended mods.
Honestly a great second match in particular, basically the perfect example of a murderball backfiring where the enemy team clumps up on one side of the pillar and the other team encircled and destroyed. With those two early losses for the enemy team they lost their edge and their teeth. Honestly really well played for your team Baradul! On a side note, I know it's in active beta but man I can't remember the last time I saw an official game's map look more like a mod map. I know it's a good 80% to do with the lighting (I imagine/hope the final map will get some really cool dramatic lighting from the entrances) but man it feels like a Star Wars Battlefront 2 mod map I would have downloaded in 2006. I think it's funny because aside from the visual and some terrain deathtrap issues it genuinely looks like it plays really dynamically!
Murderball is great for forcing engagements that are unfavorable to enemy. If you are not going to push it is disadvantageous however for reasons you mentioned. Also i agree with lightning in this map. Enemies are really hard to see in this map, just like Ceres scrapyard. I look at enemy and i have no idea what component im looking at, even with Night Vision. For gods sake i can see better than that at 800m on any other old maps.
@fistan5447 yeah you're exactly right. I feel like people thing that staying together in a murderball is enough to win any game but the truth is its an aggressive strategy that requires a lot of momentum and passable communication. As seen in the video if you stop and wait around while assuming you'll be safe because murderball, you'll just let the enemy team ablate all your teams armour until the entire team starts dropping like flies. Without that team cohesion you just risk becoming a nice big apple for the other team to take a bite of haha. I really hope to see the evolution of Bearclaw honestly, because it's a great concept for a map both in terms of world building and gameplay. We've had maps with overhangs and cover from artillery before but to have a whole map that's basically indoors is really interesting. And with some proper dramatic lighting it cpuld look and play amazingly
I love boating IS Small Lasers. I think the Crusader 6T and the hero Longbow can carry the most so I fill them up with Small Pulse. The Charger 1A1 has absurd quirks for Small Lasers, so I have 7 ER Smalls and can do surprising amount of damage.
I stopped playing MWO, and switched to MW5 (I got sick of MWO's predatory "pay-to-win" bullshit). Oh, and if you want a FAST urb to confuse your enemies and amuse your friends, here's my two best builds: R90 "El Camino" Clan Ferro Clan XL DHS kit L Binary 2x M pulse Armored Cockpit 160 core (Trim armor as necessary) UM-XMAS "Dasher's little brother" Clan ferro Clan XL 165 core Armored cockpit Swap out S pulse for Clan micro pulse (Trim armor as necessary) I've been able to get around 8 evasion pips on both of them, and their loadouts help them to shred armor - especially back armor. These are for BTA, as I believe the XMAS urbie was only a BTA random argo event thing for Xmas. Both designs can be used in Roguetech as well. The stock weapon loadout on the XMAS is a Large X-pulse, 2 Med X-pulse in left torso, and S pulse.
I can't see the other reply cause TH-cam, and I am not too familiar with MWO, but from Baradul's video on it, the Scaleshot has incredible mobility (speed + jump jets) while also being able to pack a ton of SRMs due to it having a SRM ammo quirk, making it so that it can save weight on ammo.
Ahh urbie. The mech that fleas laugh about it being slow. Till you build it to be faat. Then compare notes with the flea and ask 'so. How fast backwards?'
i have to disagree with your statement about peeking, this mech is the ultimate peeking mech, it almost feels and looks like hacking. you didnt get any speed tweek nodes and the important one kinetic burst, you also need the hard brake that you didnt get. cool down and range are a waste with weapons that fire fast and have very little range

I get so very happy when I see you posting new MWO videos!

Well, if you drop the tarcomp and head armor, you can upgrade the LFE180 to STD180 with same amount of DHS. Now that is great.

Don't forget the targeting computer mark 6 or 7!
Excellent!!! Use of lighter mechs & calculated risk
taking! Fast paced fun
and entertaining
Man, if this was on tabletop the Poor Bloody Infantry and battle armor would be having nightmares about this thing.
Good video Bara. That's a nice little Urbie setup there. Maybe I should start playing MWO again. 🙂🤔
Misleading title the Street Cleaner does 130kph the masc Urby does 128kph. With speed tweak of course.
Best MechWarrior content around
More MWO content please! Keep it coming.
Inner Sphere: We have the Piranha at home
Piranha at home:
Zippy laser pug! Thanks for the video
I stopped playing MWO, and switched to MW5 (I got sick of MWO's predatory "pay-to-win" bullshit).
Oh, and if you want a FAST urb to confuse your enemies and amuse your friends, here's my two best builds:
R90 "El Camino"
Clan Ferro
Clan XL
DHS kit
L Binary
2x M pulse
Armored Cockpit
160 core
(Trim armor as necessary)
UM-XMAS "Dasher's little brother"
Clan ferro
Clan XL
165 core
Armored cockpit
Swap out S pulse for Clan micro pulse
(Trim armor as necessary)
I've been able to get around 8 evasion pips on both of them, and their loadouts help them to shred armor - especially back armor. You've packed it all up! 😆👍
Best Urbie yet..!!
yeah my friend's onyx fell into e3 hole. That really sucks.
Why is the Scaleshot so terrifying? For the People that now familiar with MWO :D
Fast. Flies. 6 SRM 6s. 72 damage per trigger pull.
If it wants you dead, you die. You cannot run, you cannot hide.

ty for explaining it to me
NICE!
MWO CONTENT!!! LETS GO!!
Please, make a video with a Hatchetman
If the servers dont get better there won't be a MWO.
Yes I popped the 1k
Ahh urbie.
The mech that fleas laugh about it being slow. Till you build it to be faat. Then compare notes with the flea and ask 'so. How fast backwards?'
Speedy trash can for the win.

Baradul, I know it's not on purpose, but this is the second time you uploaded the same video as TTB, albit a day or two later, WTH???🧐🧐🧐
"Great Minds..."?
The new Mechs are out. Of course the content people make content for it. :D
Uh oh, don't get into the Bara vs TTB thing ;)
(Bara ftw)
@@davevan9150 i'm in the Bara + TTB corner myself.
It's also happened where Bara comes out first.
