I have a pic of a horse with the white dot, you named him WALLACE. He also has a sort of dimple above his left front leg, dimple under the fringe, white/grey dot top of his right front leg.
Did you see ORMONDE being ridden by a lifeguard in the trooping of the colour practice? Has a blues horse ever been ridden by a lifeguard before?

Hi John, had to subscribe - developed an addiction to your videos this weekend. Lovely to see our guards and traditions. I miss London, but haven’t been able to get there in a while. When you were talking to the guy in the wheelchair the guard on Monty kicked a woman away when her backpack pushed into him.
I personally like to see those who get great pictures by standing several feet away but still get the horse and guard in frame. So much more respectful and a win, win. Thanks for the brilliant videos.

You are my very favorite reporter on the Horse Guards. Please continue with some of the reasons why/history/ selection of horses for service/ how uniforms are cleaned/ etc etc etc. Any suggestion for book on Horse Guards for those “across the pond.”

I mentioned before this trooper is amazing sitting on Ormonde, I’ve mention he’s like a hawk paying attention to detail eyes,head,neck movements are always on point.

There was a beauty of a police horse a while back that had a black head & body a different color (gray I believe), it was gorgeous!! Only time I’ve ever seen it but keep watching!!!
I saw yesterday the name of the horse was on the harness on the left hand side. A camera man zoomed in on it.

Imagine standing in the supermarket and everyine passing pats you and touches you. Why would a horse want to put up with it? Not surprising that even Monty gets fed up with it.
Monty is lovely, there was an Osprey called Monty at the Dyfi Osprey Project in Montgomeryshire in Wales, he was lovely as well, and just like this Monty he had a lot of followers.
Shame Ormonde has been separated from his usual trooper - his fun is being spoiled!

Poor Ormonde was being held on a very short rein again. He wasn't allowed to keep his own space clear. No one needs to stand on top of him, or any of the horses, and now they are taking Ormonde's ability to keep his own space clear, away from him. It's too bad really. But hey, he isn't a paying tourist, now is he?

The lifeguards & blues captains were in the centre chatting as they do while they wait, it was the LG captain who went forward over to the blues trooper to give him the go ahead to return sword & dismount, I surmise because he was facing the blues

I am sure you have explained this before , but what is the difference between Horse Guard and the Blues? Forgive my American ignorance!
The Lifeguards in red uniforms and The Blues and Royals in dark blue uniforms are the two regiments of The Household Cavalry , they are the two most senior regiments in the British Army . They alternate duties at Horse Guards changing Monday Wednesday and Friday , when on duty both regiments are referred to as The Kings Lifeguards , Bodyguards of the King . These are ceremonial duties , both regiments also train and operate in armed reconnaissance vehicles . Horse Guards is the building and is the official entrance to Buckingham Palace across the Parade ground and along the Mall .It's Ministry of Defence property hence the armed Ministry of Defence police .

Look up shorts about little girl in red. You'll find a clip of her going to the horse and asking the guards' permission. Then, the guard then gives her permission to pet the horse, which is very sweet.
