I tried to make a much more in-depth video and show everything you need to use capcut mobile to the fullest, but I didn't see any interest in it, that's why I make short and quick videos. If I see (find out) that enough people need an in-depth step-by-step video I'd be very willing to do it! I'm still waiting for that, I don't sell courses or private lessons, I just want to grow with people who have the desire and want to learn to edit videos in capcut!(capcut should pay me for this 🤣) I've been on the verge of giving up many times , but because of people like you I haven't given up! you can add flashesbdirectly from video effects, and for highlights, download images that would work for you, add them as an overlay, and from the blending options choose "screen" or "overlay"

What’s if you need to like change the cropping? I have my overlay cropped but i want it to slowly uncrop. How do you do that?
if you crop the video directly from the video's edit tool, this will not achieve what you want (keyframes won't work if you use the crop in the edit tool) There is a very simple solution to this, using a mask! Add a keyframe to the beginning of the video and mask the area you want (as if you crop it), then make the video appear completely come to the part you want and enlarge the mask to see the whole video!

Even if you add another clip, the overlay will not move until you move it. You don't need to lock it for this.

How do you make it longer
if it's an image, just hold your finger on the end and drag it to where you want! That way you'll extend it! And if you want the movement to be for a longer time, you just have to increase the distance between the key frames!

For some reason i cant move the overlay..
select it in the timeline, then put your finger on the "visualization" on the screen and move it! nothing should limit it!

I don't understand exactly what you mean by short picture, but the pictures by default have a duration of 3 seconds, you can extend it as much as you want! And it basically works with both photos and videos
