I really miss dropping by people's houses and vice versa. I have a neighbour who occasionally invites me round and just sitting and having a chat with someone and their cat or dog in a nice cosy home really lifts my spirits. I'd love it if more people dropped by here too, I have a cosy home but I've not been too successful in making local friends. I am not sure if many people in the West still drop into their neighbours houses or whether that's seen as old fashioned? It makes me sad how isolated we've all become.

The younger generation, not so much. That general age group is usually on their telephone ignoring the people right in front of them for their "friends" on social media instead. Technology at it's finest...
Not in Buffalo are you? Actually in the old neighborhoods here ,if they are from old families, a up of tea or coffee always waiting with a treat. In new neighborhoods, not so much. I really miss it. I have my familiar, one of my daughters has one also, standard black cats although hers is a bit unbalanced. Runs in our families for 3-4 generations, all with black cats. I really miss my female friends , most have passed away, or moved. We had so much fun. Happy, and blessed holidays to all.

What I have gathered here are my preparations for the new year. To celebrate only the things I mean to take with me into the new year. The things that were good to me in the current year.

It is so comforting and magical. I've played the white witches cottage and all the other winter solstice. Its so relaxing hearing the fire while seeing the pot stirring around with some soup or hot cocoa or a magical spell. You are truly gifted thank you for creating this one :)

Well, it's a lot better than some of the million fireplace ambiance videos I've seen, thus far. You should have kept playing that opening music in the background of the video. It would have blended nicely with the other sights and sounds you have going on.
