Enjoyed the video . Can I ask a question. I have a bmpcc4k on order and also have a GH5 with atomos ninja v and record in ProRes. I have a major doc project coming up next year . I am concerned that I should sell my gh5 with ninja band buy a bmpcc6k to match my bmpcc4k. Do you think it is worth doing that or sticking with the gh5 will be fine when matching with the bmpcc4k. Any advice would be appreciated. Jf
Thank you! Honestly I would recommend you hang on to the GH5 since most likely you’ll lose money when selling it and if you take the time to dial in your settings to match the BMPCC 4K you’ll be glad you kept it. As well it’s always nice to have a more compact option in such instances where you just can’t take a larger rig. I shot a music video where we wanted shots inside a gas station. These days with everyone being paranoid about being on camera against their will, we opted to take my Sony a6600 in and just act like we were just messing around getting some footage. When I threw the footage in my premiere sequence, I was actually really happy we did that since we weren’t asked to leave, and the footage looked great, and you can’t hardly tell the difference when watching the final video!
@@jordanvp thank you Jordan . I truly appreciate you getting back to me with such an detailed response.. sometimes it so easy to rush out and get new gear without really using ones old gear. I can see your right. I guess the gh5 offers a lot of option with the bmp c4k does not like weather sealing and as you say it offers a more compact option should I need .I am yet to know what situation I will find myself in with my documentary and your right keeping the gh5 with the bmpcc offers the best of both world.
