The ACT presents "The Mob Song/Battle" from "Beauty and the Beast"

- The Actor's Charitable Theatre presents "The Mob Song" from Disney's Beauty and the Beast live at the Historic Bama Theatre in Tuscaloosa, Alabama in September 2016. Here Calvin Bryan as Gaston and the rest of the village ensemble storm the castle in attempt to kill the beast.
The funniest part is the mother who decided to bring her infant baby to the mob fight 😂.
I love the way they went from outside the castle to the inside.

The best mob battle scene has been removed from future versions of Beauty and the Beast broadway play.
To The Actor's Charitable Theatre, I enjoyed the Mob battle scene with the inanimate objects. Recently I went to see Beauty and the Beast at the American Fork Utah Timpanogos theater and while I did enjoy the play, however, Disney has ordered the mob battle scene removed. Why would the Disney company remove it? That's the best part of Beauty and the Beast, I'm very disappointed they would go censor and remove the scene, it causes a big plot hole and denies Lumiere, Cogsworth, Mrs Potts, Chip and household objects a chance to defend the Beasts castle and attack the villager mob and makes the danger feeling reduced. I'm very disappointed we can no longer see the mob attack scene anymore.
We need to ask Disney to restore the Mob fight scene back in Beauty and the Beast broadway play because it's very important to the story and to remove it makes it anti climatic and feels incomplete without it. If I ever do a Beauty and the Beast play, I will include the Mob fight scene whether or not Disney company approves it because I won't do a Beauty and the Beast play without it. Also, I will do a live action puppet version of Beauty and the Beast with Lumiere, Cogsworth, Mrs Potts, Chip as actual puppets with real people actors.
I know how you feel, I feel like this story isn’t the same without that scene. But when I was in a Beauty and the Beast production In Summer 2022, we kept that part. Instead of it lasting the regular 2 minutes, it was at least 30 seconds. Once Chip yelled charged, we we’re acting like we’re already getting beaten up and run out of the castle freaked out by the enchanted objects. Then Lumiere warns the beast, then Mrs. Potts and Chip squirt tea at Lefou, and then we got to Beast vs Gaston. It may have only lasted for a bit, but I was still glad we kept that part.

Regardless if it's a high school play. This is thereason why they shouldn't get a boy to play a man's part like Gaston.
This is not a high school play and this "boy" is 27 years old. What is the reason why you think this?
The Actors Charitable Theatre well excuse me. I didn't see the words college. But, that goes to show you and why would anyone murder a manly character like Gaston. In case you didn't know and coming from a Beauty and the beast fan Gaston is in his late thirties. It was intended that way by the animator who came up with Gaston who was suppose to be a copy of the voice over in the 1991 animation. My dear that man is in his fifties now. That's why I said that. And not to mention from historical stand point boys didn't even make to the age of 27 in battles in those times Gaston's character is one that was a vet and gone to battle for a while. Not to mention a real marksman. I'm sorry, but a real Gaston is and was Earl Carpenter. Know that's a true actor. And know can sing Gaston's song Me like he can.
Its a community theatre organization not a college but no worries. I understand your point.
The Actors Charitable Theatre no hard feelings dear. It's silly to debate over this. Actually, he looks the part better than other Gaston's. I understand why is voice isn't as deep as Carpenter's because he is only 27. I'm 41 I don't know anything.

Please don't be rude to the actors in the video. They worked very hard and all you can do is criticize. Just so you know, I was in plays like Cries of Freedom 2022 which I spend everyday rehearsals which are stressful. I will not allow you to disrespect or cyberbully actors, they spend hours in rehearsals, you need to learn how to be grateful and not nitpick otherwise you're just like the crabby critics or the online trolls who complain about everything.
