- The G.91Y is an overlooked gem in the Italian air tech tree that has a relatively high BR for a plane that lacks missiles. Regardless, I have had an amazingly fun time with this fighter, and had a good amount of success quickly.

I was so excited to get my first jet with AIM-9Bs. I could not have predicted insanely garbage they were.
my first missiles were R-3S and R-3R and yeah those early missiles arent all that great
@@arcticwolfxxii9236 The AIM-9Bs will either miss a target that is going in a straight line, or pull 30G out of their ass for no reason.
@@snottytoe6957 at high altitude it does better but yea i feel you on the shit missile part
@snottytoe6957 after the motor burns out it turns a bit more, can be ok but not consistent.
For all the A-10s and SU-25s at this BR the mighty mouse un-guided rockets are actually pretty effective makeshift flares against all-aspect missiles if you use them right
same for the j35 that hhas no flares... aint the best but quite effective against r60´s
sadly they've never worked for me. The Zunis are a bit better because of their bigger heat signature
Premium fatigue is killing my love for this game. GJN keeps releasing these great gunfighters knowing that they're going to just be easy food 9 times out of 10 for the full teams of all-aspect premium strike aircrafts.
And when you do get some hits on a target, something like 7:00 happens, good old f5c gameplay...
They should sort aircraft by combat operations instead of br so it would be more reasonable to counter something that has 30G missiles in uptiers
This has been my favorite aircraft for almost 13 years of my life, sure they kind of butchered it on War Thunder with it's BR and people will always go for the YS instead, but for me there is no other aircraft more awesome and epic like the Fiat G.91Y Yankee!
the BR for this plane is great, the BR for F-5C, A-10As, & Su-25s are messed up.
They added G9I Y recently in the game right?
The G.91Y is this thing 9.3? The G.91Y was this not added years ago? The G.91Y does Gaijin love torturing Italy?
Actually not, It was added in the drone Age update, it's the g91YS that was added years ago and it's 9.7, the g.91y Is basically the Better version of the ys despite not having the aim9bs beacuse the Y version sits at 9.3 but the YS version sits at 9.7
So, even of It doesn't have missiles, the aim9bs are quite useless anyway, it's Better to sit at a lower br that having aim9bs at a higher br

Honestly, Gaijin should have the 9.7 jets see anything that is 9.7 to 10.7 and the 9.3 jets see anything that's 9.3 to 8.7/8.3 like this really isn't that fun to play when constantly stuck against ALL-Aspect missiles and you got nothing to protect yourself really unless you pack some of them rockets onto the plane and get luck and the IR missiles lock onto one of your rockets cause I have had that happen quite a few times in the Buccaneer S.1 and was lucky as F@

at 9.7, the YS with no countermeasures makes this plane basically useless against mig21s and su25s
Can you do a match using the AA 20 Nords?
