I thank Allah for allowing people like Mufti Menk to be here for us. I struggle with most so called scholars and Islamic speakers but Mufti Menk makes it seem so easy and gives me information in a clear and easy way that makes sense and can be lived.
He is the best and funny and serious at same time. Whenever I am listening I find hope and relief. Jazakallahulheiran.

My family is definitely mixed, from Christian's and Muslim's. All my siblings married outside of our race. At our table are all kinds. I liked to think we were blessed in such a way to better get to know one another. My wife is Brazilian Catholic. I appreciate how mixed we are. To me being American means being part of a mix of different people's, faith's, and even foods!! My Mums also said the heart and mind is like a parachute, it only works if it is open. May all of our hearts and minds be open, especially open to the Almighty.
I sure hope and wish someday Mufti Menk will come to Massachusetts so I can have all of my family come and listen and maybe just maybe, inshallah, they will accept Islam.
