  • We’re at the beginning of another homeschool year, and I have my good friend and veteran homeschool encourager Steve Lambert here to give us four practical ways you can start your homeschool year strong. But listen even if you aren’t homeschooling, you’ll still be encouraged!

Would love to see a list of books so we can add more to our home library.

Great podcast. Wish I had known all this when my kids were small. I am passing info to the grandkids though.

Five in a Row is a staple in our home. So grateful for the Lamberts.
A few years ago, I bought the digital files of Steve, giving talks at several homeschool conventions. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve chose to listen to those as a boost and each and every time I’m encouraged and reminded what this is all about. It makes me love FIAR even more to know the heart behind it.
Ironically, just yesterday, I decided to pivot to a different math curriculum, one that I know my son enjoys. I could see his enjoyment of numbers fading, but I was trying to stay the course because the one we were using was supposed to be the “best” but I’m slowly learning the best for others is not always the best for us.
I can attest to the directions by landmark I kid you not I just told myself the other day that once I see the wonder bread building I have to get in the left lane 😂

Not sure anyone do homeschool afternoon or evening. Since I work night shift, my kids are now get used to sleep in the morning because mommy is sleeping. They will stay up late at night when I am not working so we can get some work done. But I am hesitate whether we can continue homeschooling like this
