It was so amurican and cheery, so it was a wonderful standout performance from all the other kpop acts in MAMA imo!! @@NickaLah i’ve been liking kpop for a long time and im an og army. it was very common back in 2016 to have people call the members untalented and say that “bts only has jk” bc he fit the idol image best. but over time they worked on their skills and now you can see that each member adds their own color to the group. the girls are young. give them a chance to grow. this is their debut and im already so impressed by all of them and over time as they gain experience and work hard they’ll do even better

The MAMA awards doesn’t have a broadcast audience in the US, so the production value isn’t as high. If the awards were aired on a major tv network it would have been a larger production.

To anyone wondering: Katseye is wearing professional dance shoes, and the knee pads are there to protect them from injuries during their intense performance. As for the people complaining about their skirts those are designed specifically for mobility and flexibility. To whoever suggested they just use a cloth, bruh, they’re doing splits and high-energy dance breaks. A cloth would just fly around and be impractical. The skirts are made to stay in place no matter the movement, which is an advantage when performing complex choreography. Focus on their talent and hard work instead of nitpicking

Yoonchae and Lara brought such fierce energy, while Dani really embodied her Latina Mami nickname on stage. Megan + Sophia did an incredible job stepping up to cover for Manon's parts at the last minute. The synchronized triple splits by Dani, Megan, and Sophia were also insane! These girls must have been nervous over the last-minute formation changes but they handled the pressure like pros, and they executed everything flawlessly. Thank you KATSEYE for putting in the hard work to deliver such an amazing performance. I’m rooting for your global success!

I want them to do this well all the time, but I can't imagine Manon doing the more difficult choreo. It wasn't anything against her, but that's why I didn't want her in the group, based on her lower skill level. I get people wanted more representation, though, it's a good thing to want... I just don't think it should be at the expense of the group as a whole. They're only as strong as their least skilled member.
@@NickaLah i’ve been liking kpop for a long time and im an og army. it was very common back in 2016 to have people call the members untalented and say that “bts only has jk” bc he fit the idol image best. but over time they worked on their skills and now you can see that each member adds their own color to the group. the girls are young. give them a chance to grow. this is their debut and im already so impressed by all of them and over time as they gain experience and work hard they’ll do even better

To anyone wondering: Katseye is wearing professional dance shoes, and the knee pads are there to protect them from injuries during their intense performance. As for the people complaining about their skirts those are designed specifically for mobility and flexibility. To whoever suggested they just use a cloth, bruh, they’re doing splits and high-energy dance breaks. A cloth would just fly around and be impractical. The skirts are made to stay in place no matter the movement, which is an advantage when performing complex choreography. Focus on their talent and hard work instead of nitpicking
