Yes, I think when we are great full for the necessities and for the little things in life we become more peaceful and relaxed. We are reminded of the beautiful things we have instead of the things we don't.

Listening to this reminded me of my childhood when me, my father and little sister would go into the forest to find our Christmas tree. I recalled our wood stove and cleaning the chimney. I am the oldest of four children so I would decorate the tree and when I turned 12 , I already knew the secret of Santa so from then on I wrapped all the presents 🎁. I considered it an honor to help my parents. I would also stuff their stockings. When I was older and could drive, I would take them around the neighborhood to look at the Christmas lights and decorations that people had in their yards. I really enjoyed it and miss those special nights so many years ago. My daughter is an only child as I almost died having her. She is 26 now but I wanted so much to give her younger siblings so she could have the privilege of being able to do as I did for my younger siblings. Anyway, thank you for this story ❤.

A wonderful Christmas story Stephen. 😀 My family and I decorated two christmas trees 🎄🎄 each year as I was young until I was 20 I think ( after living on my own ). First our tree at home with my mother and brother. Second tree at my grandparents's house. 😊 We'd all be full of anticipation and excitement which decorations and ornaments were out each year. My grandma had so many beautiful things and stories to go with many. It was really a calm, fun, loving, soothing and even relaxing time. 💞 I miss it today with my mother living farer away than before and my grandparents gone in heaven. 😔 I still love Christmas, it's just different. 🙂 Thank you for another amazing experience. 💚

Not relevant to this video in particular, but I figured I'd comment on the most recent. You've made night time bearable for me, which it hasn't been for a while now. I mostly listened to the meditation videos, but it helped push the stresses and traumas and mental health issues to the back of my mind and finally get rest. I only found these videos because of a particularly bad night of mental health, but they've not been anywhere near as bad since. Thank you
W e used to go on a picnic, find a suitable dead tree branch, paint it white/gold/silver. Then put in an appropriately painted bucket or tin and hang ornaments from this. I live in Australia.

I have a story about having a real tree every year until my youngest asked me why we had to kill a tree to be thankful for Christmas when it's really a birthday that we're celebrating of a child that came to save everybody. I tried to explain that these trees were grown for Christmas, he just said that didn't matter a tree is still dieing for no good reason when it could have been grown and if it had to die, it would be better for the building of homes for the homeless that didn't have one. And live on as a home for other kids. We now have for many years a fake tree that is just as beautiful as any real tree could be. My son's 20 now and every year he tells us, another tree saved. Just a family memory that will live on in our lives, hopefully forever.
Beautiful story, but at the same time, it could also be said that having a fake tree is contributing to the destruction of our planet because it’s made of plastic.
