If you exchange the midfield pirates would not be were they are, winning title is not about playing beautiful football, or skilled midfield but fighters. Pirates use to play beautiful football but never win, what is the use then, playing well without consistency.

I don't know if I am NOT good with football or what. But 90% of the time when I say a player will be a MOTM most people hardly agree with me. then BOOM that player is a MOTM. No matter which game, I always watch it with 4 or 5 guys. And all of them will choose a different player but when they announce a player as MOTM is exactly what I said. I pick Makaula for both past games in 80 minutes. I also picked Hummel for AmaZulu against Chiefs. Maybe I use different analysis. Junior says Makaula was NOT supposed to be MOTM.
Junior has a problem Makhaula... when orlando pirates lost games without him. Skhehli is boss. That's why he was nominated as best player of a season along with Themba zwane and Rivaldo cotzee... Makhaula won 3 trophies with pirates, and he highly contributed. Without him the team looks weak.

In my opinion, Mbule showed some great touches and ball retention but never progressed with the ball much, it seemed like his detail was to be a deep-lying playmaker. Linda came on and changed the game completely.

That's why he retired within 4 yrs of making his debut. A 1 season wonder, yet acts like he was the world's best player. Not even Ronaldo or Messi claim as much as lomfana khehla
Sometimes when we analyze the game let's take other factors into consideration;
- there was a lot of ex Pirates players at Sekhukhune and ex Sundowns players who felt like they needed to prove a point esp playing against one of the best teams in SA at the moment
- There is the home ground advantage factor which means that Sekhukhune was always going to try to be bold and brave in front of their home crowd
- Pirates came off a very intensive match over the weekend that is emotionally and physically testing
- Lastly Pirates is doing what no other team (with the exception of Sundowns) is doing which is playing and WINNING across three different competitions, every other team in the PSL is doing badly let's face it
Thank you for this observation, it's really needed. People are forgetting that, and judged Pirate's game as average. We were only the second team to beat Sekhukhune at home this season
