I was trying to do the samething on a normal A4 size sketch book but the results was not the same..means the colours were not blending even though i used the tissue paper.
Normal paper blending won't work Properly.. Plz use GSM200 paper... Then you try with tussue paper... And plz do lil more pressure while blending...😊

His method is very misleading and unrealistic. Waxes being derived from petroleum are not miscible - it's a fact of chemistry.

You can use finger or tissue paper
But i tried that but it didn't really worked

Gsm 200 paper
Cold pressed paper must be used to blend various crayon colors. Hot pressed paper will not work.

What type of paper are you utilizing? Cold pressed or hot pressed? Since crayons are made from wax, you cannot use a different color of crayon on another color - it will repel it being made of wax, i.e., you cannot blend two or more different color crayons. I tried it many times. It simply does not work ! Waxes do not mix or blend. It certainly does not blend on hot pressed paper. It may blend on cold pressed paper due to its texture. It will not work on hot pressed paper due to its very smooth texture.
Upon re watching your video, I see that you are using hot pressed paper - that probably why you are able to accomplish some blending. You should state that on your list of materials used.

Just a question.. I tried rubbing with tissues and finger but the colours won't smudge... Should I use oil pastels instead???
ofcourse you can use oil pastels. Also you will get more Clarity.😊😊

@@dream_escape025 i am doing with wax crayon only, while blending you have to apply more pressure then only it will blend properly.
