I agree with you guys, flying business or 1st class for long haul flights is amazing. I've never done it with emirates but it's definitely on our bucket list. Also, A380 all the way. I flew it to NYC and its amazing

Emirates did my friend and I so dirty! We were on our way to Ireland for my friend’s birthday which falls on St Patrick’s Day. They sent us back to SA after flying to from Johannesburg to Dubai. They told us Ireland is denying us entry. They turned us back to SA and we immediately got hold of Irish Border Management and they told us they would never give entry approval or denial before any one reached Ireland. So Emirates took it upon themselves to declare us unfit to visit Ireland even though we produced ALL REQUIRED DOCUMENTS! They ruined my friend’s birthday plans without any real explanation! We are still heartbroken about this incident that happened March 16th. It put me in such depression I didn’t want to leave the house and I didn’t answer calls until beginning May. We were treated like we did something wrong. We strongly believe we were racially profiled. It breaks my heart what happened that day. We still don’t understand why and worse they don’t want to give us the full refund for flights. We even lost out on the accommodation we paid for cause this. We’ve lost so much from that experience. I don’t think they understood the level of dehumanization we felt and continue to feel because of that incident.
Because people who are not from SA buy SA passports to travel to these visa free countries they are ruining it for genuine South African born travellers.
I actually flew to Ireland same day, I arrived there at Patrick’s day in the morning. I was in Dubai early AMs. Yhoo but to pass the gate in Dubai was a hustle, I think I was profiled by 3 people. I was there for work and had a work letter yet they gave me such pain. When arrived I told my colleagues our next meeting should be another country 🫣
@@bobogona but those people didn’t lie to us about why Emirates would not allow us to board the flight from Dubai to Dublin. The blame lies solely with Emirates I’m afraid.
