I wonder if these games were just as fun as my time playing through this updated version for those old enough to play the original. I'm surprised how addicting it can be to build a civilization when I was sure that I'd wanted to have more side-scrolling action. Music just helps to elevate the experience, similar in some ways to going back and playing Ys I & II.
