it just never gets old and its funny how much you adjust the volume up more as you listen to the music and it seemingly takes you away... where is this kind of music today ??? its what we need to return long may it live
Absolutely. Actually overqualified. He was a crooner back in the early 60’s. He’s a REAL professional vocalist. Ozzy is a wildcard and that’s part of his the charm that and his unusual voice. Sounds creepy.
ah The early 80s was an Incredible time for music. Incredible. ... This album, Too Fast for Love, Point Of Entry, Blizzard of Oz Soon to come Screamming for Vengeance, Shout at the Devil, Number of the Beast, Krokus Headhunter, Wasp , its like the floodgates opened & let all the killer bands out
I never compare Dio to Ozzy. They both bring a completely different dimension to Sabbath. Virtually two different bands But Dio with Sabbath is as good as it gets. Perfection in it's purest form
DIO wrote the wickedest lyrics since Ozzy. Perfect fit for Sabbath. The Heaven and Hell album was a metal masterpiece, very high energy up-tempo. The Mob Rules album is more of a Dio bar band sound, which I find awesome, but doesn't tear it up like Heaven and Hell. Sounds like Mob Rules was the prototype for Dio's incredible Holy Diver and Last in Line solo albums. I will always remember, front row at Harpos, high-fiving Mr. Dio during the heaven and hell solo. Rock on in heaven brother!
How I Left Geezer wrote the majority of the Lyrics, but Ozzy did write lyrics. Ozzy wrote Fairies Wear Boots, co-wrote Black Sabbath. I'm not going to list all the songs he wrote but you're quite wrong in saying Ozzy didn't write lyrics.
How I Left Thats even more awesome to me if GEEZER B. wrote the lyrics! I love OZZY, so much that for 15 years I wouldn't even listen to DIO singing for SABBATH! Now, I fucking love Dio! I have evolved into a heavy-metal-maniac! Bring it on!
Yeah it’s good to see a lot of comments on this song because it’s a freaking definitely one of the best dio Sabbath songs I always tired this winter heaven and hell another bad ass song thanks lady standing in the sun flowers🌻🌈🌤✌🏼
Just found this video, one of my all time favorite songs since the 70s, we were truly blessed in that music era, nice to the 70s are still alive, thank you for this awesome video,
1st time I heard RJDs voice, I thought, 'wow, thats magical'. Then when I heard this song, i couldn't believe such an amazing opus could've been organized. Top Notch work to flow with a flawless orchestration
RJD one of a kind, not one like him before or after. But also what a perfect band to make the awesome music behind those amazing vocals and lyrics. Thanks for sharing, the images really capture the imagination on the lyrics.
What makes me the status of the most is people don't even understand they're fighting a spiritual warfare we have good against evil and we are we are fighting against a battle the Bible told us we would fight against battles and people don't believe it. People don't believe it and makes me cry
My buddy & I LOVED this song and he had this f'in killer stereo system in his car & we'd drive around all night blasting this all over the city on a constant loop
My brother Ricky my eldest brother the first born I can say it's a sign of the Southern Cross I don't know why I say that but I believe he is a sign of the Southern Cross and he's been tormented and persecuted through life but I love my brother he's a sign of the Southern Cross
Excellent slideshow presentation, Babette, but your lyrics could have been a little tighter. I know the song, so it really wasn't a biggie for me to be able to sing along : P
It's actually "Give a knife to those who die" but it doesn't matter. "Giving life to those who die" is a great mis-heard lyric. Personally I much prefer it to Ronnie's original. Makes more sense.
If there isn't light when no one sees Then how can I know what you might believe A story told that can't be real Somehow must reflect the truth we feel, yeah Fade away, fade away Vanish into small Fade away, fade away Break the crystal ball Oh, it's the sign Feels like the time On a small world west of wonder Somewhere, nowhere, all There's a rainbow that will shimmer When the summer falls If an echo doesn't answer When it hears a certain sound Then the beast is free to wander But never is seen around Then it's the sign of the southern cross It's the sign of the southern cross All right Sail away To the sky From the book the word is spoken Whispers from forgotten song Gather all around the young ones They will make us strong Reach up above your dreams of pleasure Give a life to those who die Look beyond your own horizons Sail the ship of sighs And it's the sign of the southern cross It's the sign of the southern cross Fade away, fade away Break the crystal ball Fade away, fade away I can't accept it any more On a real world west of wonder Somewhere, nowhere, all There's a rainbow, see it shimmer When the summer falls From the book the word is spoken Whispers from forgotten song Gather all around the young ones They will make us strong It's the sign of the southern cross It's the sign of the southern cross Don't live for pleasure Make life your treasure Fade away Eight miles high, about to fall And no one there to catch you Look for the sign, the time The sign of the southern cross Play on
R.I.P. RJD was 😟 in my opinion the very very very Best Hard and Heavy Rock 🪨 and Heavy Heavy Metal 🎸 Vocalist 🧑🎤 for EVER !!!!!!!! May God bless his soul to infinity Amen 🙏🏾!!!!!!
Incredible images with incredible music

I like Ozzy. But Dio is on another level.
True. Both in their own level
hard to contrast. Thrill of it all

One of my favorite Black Sabbath songs. Thanks so much for making this lyric video!

Favorite DIO/SABBATH SONG
Sabbath sounded darker with DIO
with OZ more like when you're high or trippin.
This song is fuckin wicked !

what a voice. his voice makes Ozzy look bad
Every voice makes Ozzy look bad.
@@furioussherman7265 How can a voice look bad?
@@panzerriff Don't blame me. I was in line with the original commenter.
why does everyone say ozzys bad at singing? hes not technical like dio but has such a unique regognizable and awesome voice and a really good range
@@humphreyhamma3470 After the 70s, Ozzy often sang out of tune, and his voice cracked here and there.
Awesome!
Vanish in to small not smoke, a masterpiece of music.
AlpenaAthiest Actually there are a few lyrics wrong. Nice video tho.
got the lyrics from translation web side, sorry !!!
The lyrics are waaaaaayyyy too late.
If there isn't light when no one sees
Then how can I know what you might believe
A story told that can't be real
Somehow must reflect the truth we feel, yeah
Fade away, fade away
Vanish into small
Fade away, fade away
Break the crystal ball
Oh, it's the sign
Feels like the time
On a small world west of wonder
Somewhere, nowhere, all
There's a rainbow that will shimmer
When the summer falls
If an echo doesn't answer
When it hears a certain sound
Then the beast is free to wander
But never is seen around
Then it's the sign of the southern cross
It's the sign of the southern cross
All right
Sail away
To the sky
From the book the word is spoken
Whispers from forgotten song
Gather all around the young ones
They will make us strong
Reach up above your dreams of pleasure
Give a life to those who die
Look beyond your own horizons
Sail the ship of sighs
And it's the sign of the southern cross
It's the sign of the southern cross
Fade away, fade away
Break the crystal ball
Fade away, fade away
I can't accept it any more
On a real world west of wonder
Somewhere, nowhere, all
There's a rainbow, see it shimmer
When the summer falls
From the book the word is spoken
Whispers from forgotten song
Gather all around the young ones
They will make us strong
It's the sign of the southern cross
It's the sign of the southern cross
Don't live for pleasure
Make life your treasure
Fade away
Eight miles high, about to fall
And no one there to catch you
Look for the sign, the time
The sign of the southern cross
Play on
Awesome video! Oh! It is so me!
Similar acoustic guitar lick years later on Nothing Else Matters. I wonder if it was on purpose.
thank you so much :)
