So based on photos, it’s possible that the pickups in Wendy’s Rick are Bill Lawrence blade tele bridge pickups I can’t remember any one else making them before Purple Rain era (the blades look too wide). Wendy says they were g&l pickups.

Apparently the same chorus effect (dimension D) was used on most of SRV’s first album Texas flood ! It sounds like in the first setting of the dimension! I’ve tried it at home using two fender (super reverb and bandmaster)amps with the dc2w set to sdd320 mode in the first setting and apart from my mediocre playing the tone is spot on !
josefina salgado As far as I can hear , pride and joy, Texas flood, Lenny and mary had a little lamb. I must go back and listen to it but definitely those few, it’s quite possible it was added after when mixing the tracks as the Roland sdd320 was very popular in studios back in the 80’s
The capo trick is good, but you could have gotten so many open strings ringing and less stretching if you just let the capo do what your index finger is now doing. But then, it’s good exercise.

Sinon pour tous ceux qui ont des mains à la con comme moi avec des doigts qui s'écartent pas, le mieux c'est de la jouer dans sa version capo 3, qui sonne aussi magnifiquement bien 😊
