    They all worked well, but the dry eraser (to me) was clearly the winner. Very easy, no chance of really soaking into the box, and removed the maker easily. Excellent video.

    I have a plastic covered VCR tape case with a name written in permanent marker. I think the tape's case is kind of valuable and don't wish to hurt it in anyway. I had large plastic storage bins with sharpie words written and I first tied the alcohol, not much effect at all, then lighter fluid, same, nothing much...I tried the eraser and that did work, but left smudges, so then I tried the WD40, some immediate removal, but still not fast, as soon as I added a bit of Baking Soda to the WD 40, it came off fast! It did scratch the plastic surface somewhat as you could see it on an angle. Yet, the WD40 and Baking Soda was the winner for me! Yes, you have a good video, thanks!

    The shiny gloss coating on that box was a major factor here.... marker would penetrate most other surfaces. They all work like that on glass too. But on wood. Paper or even my counter top.. the nail polish remover did best... but not great..... try some Walmart acetone

    • @PickRoll
      @PickRoll  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes for sure. Targeted to resellers, and majority of product boxes are glossy. Raw cardboard, wood, etc are porous and it gets absorbed- tough to get fully off/out. thanks

    hey can you try the test on the inside label of the clothes ? It's much harder to remove on the clothes tags than boxes. Goodwill will sometimes write on the tags of their boutique items which is annoying.

    • @PickRoll
      @PickRoll  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      My Goodwill writes on everything, including ALL clothes. I know, I hate it!! I have found best way is just spray with Oxy clean, then wash. I have tried by dabbing/but makes a smear, washing "usually" is better.

  • @gmaflor

    Hello everyone this is the magic trick to getting sharpie out of bed sheets 1. Sponge the stain with rubbing alcohol until it completely moist 2. Dab the stain with a wad of clean damp paper towels the color of the stain should be transferring to the paper towels keep repeating until the stain is gone 3. If the stain is not gone use denatured alcohol instead of rubbing alcohol apply the denatured alcohol with cotton swabs for precise application 4. Blot the stain with damp paper towels again ghe stain should be transferring to the paper towels 5. Dip a cotton ball in nail polish remover apply to the stain this should help remove the rest of the stain 6. Soak the nail polish remover with damp paper towels and launder the bed sheets as normal hope was helpful let me know if this was helpful
