Tribit Xsound Go is half the price of the Micro 2 (Amazon Australia discount) so we shouldn't place great expectations on it. I found out the upgraded version can do TWS so for the price I thought I'd get a second one.
i wonder why the xsound go is cheaper because it has 2 speakers compared to 1 in the micro 2 but in terms of sound the micro sounds warmer with better bass.
It is interesting how these speakers are priced. The Micro 2 is twice the price, but the xSound has more speakers, more wattage, double the battery capacity and is still pretty portable.... what am I missing?
Tribit Micro 2 was actually tuned to be "on axis" forward facing, sounds much better. Tribit Micro 1 sound better "off axis" facing up. In other words you should have put the Tribit 2 standing up for equal comparo
Which speaker sound better for you? It's unfair for the Micro 2 since its facing up and not to the microphone. Xsound Go faces the microphone hence it sounds clearer based on this video. But what about in real life how does it sound?
It's unfair....but that's the design difference between these speakers. The Micro 2 fires It's sound vertically, so unless you're sitting on the ceiling, this is how it will sound.
Case by case, xsound go can sound harsh. But you dont have to worry about that when you hear stormbox micro 2. For me, micro 2 has deeper bass and is easier listening long time.

Xsound Go distorts at high volume and cant handle deep bass while the micro 2 can given its small factor
