Still excited for it, but more cautious now.

I love that. That the "Superman"-chant in the trailer - that also replaces a traditional title-card, because, well, come on, it's Superman, he needs no title card - is started by a desperate little kid at the other side of the world crying out for him. Love that. And it would be a great establishing scene for the movie. Clark springing into action because he hears that kid shouting. It would also be an interesting contrast/parallel to the opening of BvS. setting a completely different tone.
You know, this trailer reminded me why we are fascinated with superheroes: Imagine one day, we watch outside our windows and see a man who can fly. Who wouldnt be fascinated by that?

He might not actually be with us but he’s always with us mentally with this movie coming out. We don’t go to these movies to see the character in our world, we goto to be in theirs
Even though i didn't hit the scene until 1981, as i grew up reeves was always my main superman. Cavil became my second. Im curious to see if this young man can pull it off. It has the feel and spirit, especially with that iconic score. Goosebumps did emerge, so thats a good sign.🤞

Agreed Eric. One thing I noticed immediately was the different hairstyles between Clark Kent and Superman. It really brings out Clark's own look instead of looking like Superman with glasses. For years fans have wondered how can Superman fool anyone just by wearing glasses, and that's really a very good question. Also Dragon Ball Z fans may have immediately noticed the Yamcha pose after Superman crashes. Not being a DBZ follower I didn't realize this until a DBZ fan pointed this out and I searched a lot of Google images of Yamcha doing this pose and learned that this was a thing.
"fans" they are just idots if they watch christopher reeve as superman then its clear to see why people are fooled since hes not just superman wearing glasses
I saw someone getting mad that he doesn't have the curl as Clark Kent. But..... he's not supposed to. He has the curl as Superman but not as Clark. It was sorta the other way with the Cavill version, with the super slicked back hair as Superman.
Interestingly, I can see the influences from past Superman portrayals, ranging from the classic Christopher Reeve era to the slight hints of Snyder’s with Gunn’s touch. He did say previous Superman interpretations influenced him, but more so the All-Star Superman comic. If James Gunn can strike the right balance while delivering strong writing and execution, this has the potential to be a solid Superman movie.

This feels like Superman: Birthright...the story where Luthor convinces the world that Superman is an advanced scout of sorts to an alien invasion. That is why the established superheroes are after him in the beginning, as well as some of the public. 100 percent getting this vibe.
Cavill's Superman really introduced me to the character and is my absolute favorite Superman, and I'm still annoyed we'll never get to see the completion of his story. That said, while I don't care too much for this suit I’m still intrigued and excited to see what they do with Superman in this film. And it is COMPLETELY VALID for people to ENJOY BOTH. I'm sick and tired of the Gunn vs Snyder arguments, both sides are equally toxic and can never let go of mocking the other. Seriously, please just let both interpretations of the character stand on their own and be enjoyed by whoever wants to like them.
Man that's why i love you guys...the point that you made that david is looking like what clark kent was in the comcis and not the superman...this shows how detailed you guys got and this what i believe was done wrong in the snuder verse and that was, we didn't even feel that clark was shown in the movie, it was shown but it felt like the portrayal was hiding behind the superman and that's not how the clark kent identity works in the comics. Glad that you guys talked about this
Gotta remember that James Gunn said that this movie is not an origin because according to him , everyone knows the basis of the character and he is building from that. Guys your reactions compelled me to go watch the Superman the Movie helicopter seen, to my mind the best Superman scene ever, the iconic John Williams score, the shirt tearing, the "safest way to travel" comment, it had it all. Thanks fellas, yours was a great "guys" reaction video.
What could beat Superman up so bad? I love it. Supes has to face a legit challenge.
Setting the stakes right at the start of the teaser is great. Inspired editing.
Chasing down those black friday deals.
Shoppers are _brutal_ .
Maybe Parasite if he steals enough of Supes' power?
The rumour is that The Elite fights him
I'm a go with Ultraman!!
i loved this trailer , i loved to see your reactions to this trailer and specially i loved to hear your thoughts on this trailer
It's nice seeing Superman smile, wear bright colors, and actually save people for a change
I mean he saved people on screen in MOS.
Do so even in BVS and JL.
I agree it was a meh take, but acting like he didn’t save people is untrue.
And yet we don’t even see him smile in the trailer 😂
"He looks like Moss, doesn't he?"
YES. Thank you for pointing that out lol... first thing that came to mind when I saw this version of Clark was Moss from the IT Crowd.
The trailer definitely got me too. ❤️🚀
It's mid Black adam 2.o
@ LOL, boo hoo, poor poor you. 🤣 I’m so sorry that you are crying and butt-hurt over a genuinely great trailer that everybody loves, likely because you are either an MCU (already dying) or Snyderverse (already dead) fangirl. Cope harder - it’s only adding to my enjoyment.
@@williamegan6756 ull be crying wen it'll be anncouned it's a flop byeeee👎
@@TheKnight886 Oh I’ll be crying all right. Crying with laughter at your super pathetic attempts to be a troll! 🤣
You fan girls have been making my day with your whine whine whine. You know the trailer’s amazing, so now you are desperately trying to convince everyone else that it’s not. All to protect your precious fallen idol. I’d feel sorry for you if it weren’t so cringe.
This feels like Superman: Birthright...the story where Luthor convinces the world that Superman is an advanced scout of sorts to an alien invasion. That is why the established superheroes are after him in the beginning, as well as some of the public. 100 percent getting this vibe.
Cant wait to see this world, we now can see Hakwgirl and Green Lantern.
Pretty sure the engineer is also in this teaser.
I wasn't as blown away by this trailer as I hoped. It looks _very_ busy, but it's Superman so obviously I'm optimistic.
Glad that you guys talked about this
With how sh*t the world feels these days, I definitely need hopeful Superman over grimdark Superman
Gotta remember that James Gunn said that this movie is not an origin because according to him , everyone knows the basis of the character and he is building from that. Everyone to whom this is aimed at has watched Superman Animated Series, JL, JLU. So we are just dropped in a world where Superman has been a hero for a while.
Does that mean Lois already knows too?
Can't wait to talk about this movie at the cafe with Superman.
And also why he chose Hawkgirl, over ME.
Got very emotional watching this
Superman my hero as a 80s kid
9:33 my guess is that it’s something that Lex made
