Most of the inundation that we see in vadodara after incessant rains can be reduced by increasing the depth (desilting) of vishawamitri river For this mud and soil needs to be removed fro the river bed of vishwamitri river so tht the depth and the wirth of the river increases After desilting the vishwamitri river will be able to carry more water and the water will not flood the neighbouring areas further the areas that get back flow of sauvage water (like railway station gharnala) will not be flooded as the water will be able to flow into the deepened vishwa mitri river Other problem that comes with the flooding of vishwamitri is the problem of crocodiles This danger can be avoided by shifting the crocodiles from vadodara stretch of vishwamitri to some other habitat The crocodiles have outlived the dinosores and are a hardy species, they can survive anywhere (they are one of the oldest species on earth) so there should not be any threat to their existence if they are shifted to a new habitat The Vadodara Municipal corporation has tried to fix both these problem but has ran into resistance from environmental activists most prominent among them by the name of Rohit Prajapati who approaches the courts and gets the efforts of VMC to desilt the vishwamitri river and shifting of crocodiles stayed by the courts, it makes all the vadodarians suffer whenever there are haeavy rains I think the people who suffer due to the deeds of these environmental terrorists should do something about it and come in support of VMC so that the water and crocodiles of vishwamitri do not affect them whenever there is heavy rains

We Barodians proudly called our city as "Khadodara" because of potholes/khadde. Next, calling Vishwamitri a river is like saying Fardeen Khan is better actor then SRK. Vishwamitri is actually a gutter in disguise of a river.

I live in Vadodara nd for me this is definitely rare. We don't see such heavy rainfall and water logging that much.
@@preetiraut7700 rainfall was 10 inches while in 2005 ..it was 22 inches or so. Waterlogging is down to construction in the flood plain of Vishwamitri. Check your facts and the comment.

Most of the inundation that we see in vadodara after incessant rains can be reduced by increasing the depth (desilting) of vishawamitri river
For this mud and soil needs to be removed fro the river bed of vishwamitri river so tht the depth and the wirth of the river increases
After desilting the vishwamitri river will be able to carry more water and the water will not flood the neighbouring areas further the areas that get back flow of sauvage water (like railway station gharnala) will not be flooded as the water will be able to flow into the deepened vishwa mitri river
Other problem that comes with the flooding of vishwamitri is the problem of crocodiles
This danger can be avoided by shifting the crocodiles from vadodara stretch of vishwamitri to some other habitat
The crocodiles have outlived the dinosores and are a hardy species, they can survive anywhere (they are one of the oldest species on earth) so there should not be any threat to their existence if they are shifted to a new habitat
The Vadodara Municipal corporation has tried to fix both these problem but has ran into resistance from environmental activists most prominent among them by the name of Rohit Prajapati who approaches the courts and gets the efforts of VMC to desilt the vishwamitri river and shifting of crocodiles stayed by the courts, it makes all the vadodarians suffer whenever there are haeavy rains
I think the people who suffer due to the deeds of these environmental terrorists should do something about it and come in support of VMC so that the water and crocodiles of vishwamitri do not affect them whenever there is heavy rains
