Very good list. I also think that every woman over 40 should know 1) her blood type, 2) her Rxs and supplements, 3) her family health history 4) when her Mom started menopause and symptoms she should look out for 5) exactly where her passport, ss card, birth and marriage certificates are. 6) the name and number of a good attorney for any emergency
I'm in the UK...we don't typically know that information...I kind of remember mine from my maternity notes but I don't know anyone else except 2 friends with long term medical conditions that know it...can I ask why you all say it's nessesary?
Knowing your blood type is important in case of emergencies but hospitals will confirm your type before giving you a blood transfusion. Another good reason is to help others through blood donations. Ok Sometimes, local organizations may put out a call for specific types.
Family of 6 girls and 2 boys. Boys were born at the end. Being the oldest, my Dad taught me not only how to change tires. But also basic maintenance on my car. Thanks Dad for empowering me. 🥳
She is teaching you how to do for self in case help does not arrive. It's about you doing it for yourself in case of a emergency. Changing a tire is masculine but what if we have a massive event, and you need to get to safety, and the grid is off. What will you do? If you have money or you don't. You are a woman. We need to always have a tucked away masculine side to protect ourselves against evildoers. Will you fight if someone tried to violate you? Or will you go ahead and let him take it? No. You will fight. Fighting is masculine, but you want to survive. Femininity is beautiful but we live in a masculine world.
That we do and we never know where this life will take us. I currently live outside of the U.S. and there is no AAA here or anything like it. Yes, I have my husband but it would take him over an hour to get to me. It's better to have the knowledge and not need it than to need it and not have it.
It was the moving on tip that moved me. Not just moving on from bad relationships, but moving on from mistakes, opportunities missed, and negative thoughts. And yeah white potato salad is a no for me, 🤣🤣🤣 - mustard & hot sauce peeps!
Angela I couldn't agree more. We were taught to be feminine and lady like by my mother and grandmother. They were great examples but my father taught us girls to be self-sufficient. We knew how to change our tires and oil, manage household finances, and we were taught how to physically protect ourselves. I have roadside assistance but if I get in a pinch, I will kick off my heels lay my emergency blanket down on the ground and commence to changing my tire. While we may have good men in our lives, that will come and change a tire, have that skill set is important knowledge and knowledge is power. Save for a rainy day, learn as much as you can and always have a back up plan.
I know this list is for women over 40, but I'm 25 and I feel motivated to make sure I have these things in order! Definitely going to learn how to change a tire and check on my 401k more often.
I found you a few weeks ago and subscribed immediately!! I binged watched today for about two hours. Love your content, personality and advice. I agree with EVERYTHING you said in this video. As a woman over 40 (closer to 50) the advice is timeless.
Love your tips, especially about the rainy day account. It also taught me to think about my financial future. I started with $10 a wee at age 32(!) but over the years I kept adding to it, especially adding a portion of each raise or salary increment. One of the best decisions I've ever made!!!
I like the advice alot. I would add a women should know what she wants in life and from a partner. Have your own voice and opinions. Should know every part of her body and how it works.
Really great advice especially moving on ‘you can’t be happy and sad at the same time ‘ this quote really struck a cord today ...Thank you once again 👍🏿🙏🏿
I’m in the midst of breaking up with my ‘two year’ relationship just three days before a two week family vacation with all my siblings and their spouses. 12 adults or 6 couples is now 11 people. All I can do is thank God that the house we rented is huge and my bedroom is downstairs (I’m the designated cook is the reason).
These 5 tips are indeed true! I can truly attest to these and I love it! Two of the tips can be a lifestyle discipline for some. Take these 5 tips and MASTER them. They WILL pay off for sure!!
AAA I’ve had since I started college in 1980. I don’t change tires because in 1980 I was 5’1 and weighed 98 lbs. I weigh more today and still don’t have arm strength to change a tire. Pull over safely as possible, get out the car and move away from it and then call AAA. People are disrespectful on the roads today and not safe to be changing a tire. Thanks for your tips though!🌼
Angela I'm enjoying your videos. It was nice finding a woman whose style I relate so well with. Keep up your videos, as a starting over woman over 40, they help!
I think the truth you are speaking has absolutly nothing to do with women over 40. But women in general regardless of age. I say the sooner we learn these lessons the better starting in out teens. So by the time we reach our forties. We are good to go above and beyond on a much higher level. Whereas we can just coast through our lives and enjoy the fruits of our labour in relationships and all the other perks and experiences we have come through in life smelling like a rose!
I'm 62 & find your vids entertaining & helpful. Going to tell my two 40 year old friends about your channel. The vids provides me check off lists to confirm & enhance my current existing lists. Knowing what else I can do & what I missed is great. Learned to change a tire & changed them starting a 17. Life skills. My dad was a mechanical engineer & mom a nurses aide always helped with home projects. Picked up skills from both of them. Always watched how things are created & repaired. Have my own tool box with real tools that I use since I was 23. Yes agreed-no white potato salad! Roots from the South & WI. My cooking influenced by both hertiages!! Good food with layers of flavor. Worked with nurses for over 19 years. I love nurses. Buying some Levi's as a Mom day present for myself. Love your channel & I subscribed. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I am new so I am going back and catching up on your videos I agree with these 5 things woman should know. I have all 4 down that tire one haven't mastered that one I was spoiled I married at 21 my hubby always saw to it now a widow now going on 5 years and I am 65 girl I am calling my roadside assistance! Lol. I agree on that potato salad needs to have mustard but I have tried the white I worked with a lady many years of German decent and she made a very delicious white potato salad so good we always requested she bring it to all our spreads. Have a Blessed day!
Loving the advice. Loving the positive energy and laughter! You exude the essence of beauty and Godliness inside and out. Sometimes we as women need that gentle reminder to love and take care of ourselves. Keep up the great work!
Angela you just made me put more money into my savings account. And I will be doing this until I retire. (2 years). And that's so funny you mentioned about mastering 3 dishes. That was the first thing at the time my future husband asked me "Can you cook?" And my response was a big old smile on my face. And the rest is history. See my folks are from Louisiana need I say more? 😁😉
WOW, best 5 things ever. There are two I struggle with. Having a "rainy" day fund. As an educator I don't make much, but after listening to you about the necessity of having one, I'm going to open up another account elsewhere. My other one is cooking. I HATE cooking, that may explain why I'm single 🤣🤣. Just an FYI, I CAN cook, just hate it. Thank you, Massachusetts ❤
I agree on all of these points! You've inspired me to be a little introspective on #3 as I have been hanging on to things in my past. You're so right, I'm talking almost 30 years ago and everything in between. It's time for me to get real with myself. Thank you for the video!
I thank you for those tips. I’m in my middle 50’s & was laid off of my job of 26 yrs. I have a few things I need to accomplish. #1 find a new job, # 2 finally get my driver’s license, so I can learn how to change that tire if need be!

Yes to all of this! My girls and I had to change my tire during Christmas time last year. It took us a minute, we did it. Yes, we got lots of offers of help, but I wanted my girls to know that we could do it. Macaroni and cheese, baked chicken, and baked beans (with the ground beef) are my three :) And, no to that white potato salad! I'm working on my rainy day fund and have retirement. I truly appreciate the encouragement!
I was just scrolling and found your video. Great information! You had me really lol talking about the “who cooked this?!” With the side eye. I have to subscribe you’re so down to earth and could be one of my girl friends!! Cute outfit!!
And I have changed a tire, have a rainy day fund. Have cooked an entire thanksgiving meal (the room was quiet so I know it was good!) Have a great retirement set up and can’t remember he rest but that’s a good start!!
Ummmm, I would love to but at this moment it really would make me a hypocrite. I'm honestly somewhat fit as a blessing of great genes. My eating habits are anything but healthy😬 Just being honest
@@AngelaMashelle wow, that is great. Thank you for your honesty. I am in my 30s and trying to get back to the size you are. Praise the Lord for good genes.

I totally agree!

@@Dante-il8zy OK..thamks..I like the idea if they are calling for a specific blood group for sure, don't think we do that here but it makes sense.
A woman over 40 should definitely know the difference between a friend and an acquaintance!
I learned this lesson the hard way! We need to learn this at 15. It would save us a lot of heart and headache.
AMEN!
Yes ma'am!!
tell me about it
Amen
#3 Every woman should know how to move on. Lady, you just preached next Sundays sermon.
😂
This topic is gold...yes please do a video on this.
The word... thank ya! 🙌🙌
Yes she did 😀
My husband and I each throw $10 a week into an “Emergency Fund”.... After a each year we’ve saved about $1000..... GREAT thoughts by the way!
That is awesome! Thank you

It's not masculine, its something that everyone should know. That's like telling a female not to pump gas or check the oil.
You are just about every woman's best friend! I think you're on fire, informative, and inspiring.
Wow, thank you!
I totally agree with this!

My mom made me change a tire before I got my license. That piece of knowledge has saved me many times.
It's definitely a skill every woman should know.
Good for your Mom for teaching you that what a great thoughtful Mom
👍Great tips. Happiness and depression cannot reside in the same space.
Not at all!

Tips on how to move forward would have been helpful. Sometimes you get stuck and a handy ‘what worked for me’ guide could be thought provoking.
