I think the strategy would have been to MeToo him so he gets suspended indefinitely, therefore we tank and get wemby, and then all of sudden bring him back so we have both. But the pressure to remove him was far too great they had to let him go.

Dude is still growing on his height! His size and developing skillsets. He is a raw learner he just need experience to learn more. Imagine spurs 100% fostering him for couple of years! He will be one of the spurs key man! He will rise. At least he will be serving a function for the spurs as a Weaker Kobe/ Luka kind of player. Which the spurs are lacking, the better key man. Ofc there’re many very good players among the league. Shooting guard Simons from the Blazers is one example. He is good good good player. He can be the future.
