His words could paint a picture no TV could produce. He would make watching paint dry sound exciting. He was simply the greatest. Rest in peace
Some of his comments were priceless! I remember one when he was talking about Sean og O'Hailpin went something like "his mum is from the Fiji islands and his father is from Co.Fermanagh...neither of which could be classed as hurling strongholds".....brilliant!!
The last of the great commentators of years gone. He will be sorely missed. He's right up there with Murray Walker in F1 and John Madden in American Football and our own Micheal O Hehir as one of the all time great announcers
Yes but i would add bill McLaren the rugby commentator great turn of phrase
The 1st half was even.
The 2nd half was even worse.😂❤❤😢😂
He could make a bad game sound thrilling.
He was one of a kind ,God rest his soul
I never saw The Rabbit chasing The Fox before. ❤❤❤❤
It's Connie Murphy on the ball he works in the ESB and is full of electricity 🔌 today 😅lol
The best there ever was brilliant a d that sums him up
He was an absolute legend. He would draw you into the game instantly. You could be an alien just after landing on earth but once you heard the passion in his voice you immediately were interested in the game, in what he had to say. Sorely missed. Rest In Peace Michael
Rip a real legend
My favourite moment michael o muircheartaigh was 1995 when clare won the munster hurling championship when he spoke about the clare players of 1912 made hairs stand on my arms. What a true gentleman and gael . He's now in gaa heaven with all the greats of the the game
The best commentator l heard in my lifetime made every match like it was an lreland hurling or football final legend in his own lifetime the greatest 😊
