This song is from their debut album: Walls of Jericho, originally Kai Hansen sang this song, but he left in 1989 and by the time this concert was recorded (1992) he was already touring with his band Gamma Ray. This was originally a Kai Hansen sung song, but Kiske made it his own when he was in the band. Roland Grapow is the guitarist, he replaced Kai Hansen 1n 1989 and was fired in 2001, then formed Masterplan (who Jorn Lande from the Avantasia video sang with on three albums). Drummer here is the original Ingo Schwichtenberg, who was fired in 1993, and committed suicide in 1995 sadly. He had a drug problem, and was bipolar I believe, and didn't handle his firing well.
More accurate this is a Michael Weikath song with his band Sas and the title Sea Of Fears, a power ballad that brought it to Helloween and transformed it along with Kasi Hansen into a power metal hymn named How Many Tears

Always wanted to see them live since discovered the band in 1991. Finally saw them in Singapore with Deris n 2018 in Malaysia with all the 3 singers. It was memorable!! Helloween to me is fun!
Good morning, what a great way to wake up to some Helloween. This is a great song and they performed it well. The Guitarist was Roland Grapow who replaced Kai Hansen. The power and speed of this song is great, but for me the guitar solos where they start off fast and then slow down is excellent, before they speed it all up again. You are right about seeking to do the earlier stuff, as to try to get to know and understand a band now, you have to see where they have come from, that is what you are doing which is great. Sadly there is not too many old live videos of good quality for Helloween, but you can still enjoy them anyway as they do perform well live. Thanks for sharing, have a lovely day.
I have the same feeling about the singers. They are so good and have their own id in the voice. The thing is the songs are written often to fit the Singer. Deris voice fits very good the Hansen stuff and alot of the Kiske stuff. But not all. Some songs are a little bit to high for him live. But I dont mean his is bad live. Just that he sounds so good with his songs. Thats for me the big thing about the re union. We Can in 2021 hear all the classics with the right singer. That makes me almost want to cry 😂😂 Fun to follow You through your Helloween-Journey 😃
This is a great song and Kiske nailed it. If you react to "halloween" I advise you to save it and watch the "pumpkins united" version, because they took the song to another level.
@@TheRealMediaMan personally i love both releases, but some ppl don’t. From Pink Bubbles Go Ape take a listen to Goin’ Home or Someone’s Crying and Chameleon(which is their “experimental” album) i’d say I Believe.

Agreed. The Wacken 2018 version of this with Kai, Kiske and Deris all singing is one of the greatest live performances in history.
