Fr James Martin’s LGBTQ ministry involves acknowledging the human dignity of LGBTQ people and affirming their sins. E.x. he has shown support for the desecration of the Black Madonna painting by Polish LGBTQ activists and criticised a court for allowing Catholic family services to prevent gay couples from adopting children (among many other things). Yes, the former is in line with Church teachings but how can he say the same about the latter? He did, after all, said in the podcast that the Church must also be a teacher.
