Another great podcast Matt. Drew Gill is definitely going to be dangerous this year. Look forward to seeing the rest of the tournaments . I think this was one of the most exciting tournaments in MLF. I really enjoyed it! Would love to see you get someone on the opposite direction of avoiding forward , facing sonar and their take on it. Hope you get to feeling better soon, brother 🎣🎣🎣
It's a win for the fans who like the fishing part of it, a loss for the fans that only care about the catching part of it. I watched more of this one than I have in the last couple years, for what that's worth.
Honestly all the complaints are not going to stop with a split format. I personally have a hard time watching non-FFS fishing when I know it’s far more effective to go out and scope. Others hate FFS with such fury they think it’s still unfair.
I personally tuned out after the first period each day due to the slow fish catches. and I’m a guy who watched all three periods in every event to see what cool techniques I I could pick up from FFS. Hopefully at other events, they’ll be more fish catching for the non-FSS.
Drew Gill is playing guitar hero and Mark Davis is Eric Clapton. Although still very shameful, MLF is doing better than last year and the years before it.
Great interview with Drew Gill! I was encouraged by his comments and positivity towards the new format. He must have been hangry or something before he caught that eight. He whined about hydrilla and blind fishing but then turned around caught the best bag of non LiveScope fish of the tournament. I was afraid that he was lining up for the EQ’s but it sounded like he is happy where he’s at. He’s a good one.
Really enjoyed this tournament . Great compromise.

Should’ve asked Drew why he came and fished right beside cooper in 3rd period.
Big fan of this guy! Straight hammer
Feel better dude…

I don’t think Wheeler was in Caney Creek after day one. Could be wrong but pretty sure he wasn’t on those fish.

100% right on with his comments on FFS. Now, does the general public agree with that? And think it’s a good thing for the sport?
