Man, I fully forgot to show that you can change the presence etc at the back of the amp, my sincere apologies. Also, here’s the IR I used: www.drumsandtones.com/product/the-queensroad-ir-pack/
You are an incredible guitarist man! Glad to be subscribed.. going to install this plugin right now! I liked the 1st Petrucci plugin & wasnt sure about this one, although it sounds great. Have to give it a go!
Have you tried the ML Sound Lab Fluff 2C? I wonder what your thoughts on how they compare as I really like the Mesa Boogie 2C+ sound in the ML Sound Lab Fluff 2C; it pretty much nails it.
@@ProgKey so far from the clips I’ve heard I agree. I haven’t demoed the Neural DSP one yet but the tones I’m getting out of Fluff 2C are so spot on that I don’t have much desire to look elsewhere when it comes to that tone. The ML 5 does the Mark IV tone really well as well.
Bro .....try boosting without the built in OD section(Use your Favorite OD or clean Boost). I'm using mine as follow. Kiesel Aries 7 custom (Emperion Neck and Thorium Bridge) Drop A Tuning to the Lichtlaerm Audio Aesahaettr Boost ----> Focusrite 18i20---- Pro Tools then as a Hardware Insert after the Neural dsp MeBo IIC++ to my Warm Audio73 Mic Pre EQ back into Protools Through a Guitar AUX. This sounds fookin Amazing man seriously
Yeah on Puppets it was slaved through a JCM800. Hetfield used to play with just the C+ live though, boosted with a Tube Screamer. Then apparently Mesa modded a C+ for him to sound boosted without the TS, and the C++ was born. I read that the C++ went on to become the regular lead Chanel in the Mark III, but I don’t know how true that is.
I have always wondered how people get these archetypes to sound good, I have a different one and some people make it sound good but for me it sounds like doo doo. This one seems very good though, I like this one
The Fractal JP2C model is actually pretty fucking awesome (even has the Shred mode). But I love this as well! Been playing Orion nonstop since getting it!
@@scentia_est that's a very good point bout Mendel. I thought the same honestly, for something that is supposed to sound like a Mesa, it was really thin sounding imo.

I appreciate that you're not delivering "perfect" playing on this and you're showcasing jamming and having fun. Love this!
PS - technically they already did the Mark IV/V via the John Petrucci suite. I'm sure it's modded for the plugin, but maybe that's an option for you
loving the under a glass moon solo
Sounds sick. Good to see this and not another archetype. Also good to see someone put it through the paces that has a strong picking hand.
Wow great tones !

Definitely seems to have among the most versatility. The crunch tones sound really damn good
took me forever to figure out what that solo is at 1:46! great demo
Subscribed... just based on this video, great work man. Keep up with the dope a$$ riffs!
Nice. I love their Archetype series so looking forward to trying the trial.
Man, I've been waiting for tabs to your song Hell Redux, this solo is dope...I can't wait...
Could you send pls tabs 🙏 I can't find
would u ever share the presets u make for plugins
Definitely a retro vibe inducer.
Hi man ! Love your content ! Been wondering, what desk do you have ? Cheers from Belgium ;)
Studio tour video coming soon!
I picked this up this morning! \m/

Ml 2C sounds better to me

Different amp (JP is almost like IIC+++ LOL!)
So that's 3 speakers for the leftmost cabinet?! Whoa - damn nice
what latency you have with UAD soundcard? and what settings of buffer you using?
16 samples buffersize (on Mac).
Good shit, cheers

Aah that’s right. I do know the Mark III Blue Stripe, doesn’t have that tightness.
Neural need to make a Engl suite so we can all get our Necrophagist on is what I say
None of that is correct.
@@adam2178 Well, I’m just reiterating things I’ve read/heard as I don’t know Hetfield personally, nor do I work for Mesa, so you could be correct.
The marshall and tubescreamer was for Kirk. James was clean to the amp he have everything he needs at his hand
Sounds sick! Is that a stock epiphone youre playing?
Yes, from 2003.
I just realised you're a leftie, even more impressive. My wrist dies about 80% earlier than yours on master of puppets haha, well done.
What are the pickups in this guitar?
Ryan Bruce bridge, Devin Townsend Neck (Fishmans).
This is their best one yet, easily. Not a fan of the stock V30 IRs though.

Those Puppets riffs will destroy your arm if you're not downpicking regularly.
This destroys anything by Tonex, Fractal etc. Great tones!
The Fractal JP2C model is actually pretty fucking awesome (even has the Shred mode). But I love this as well! Been playing Orion nonstop since getting it!
Nah, I'd take a really good Tonex 5150 capture over this all day, every day.
@@justsomerandomguyman after playing for awhile, I realized what this sounds like. My old Boss Metalzone pedal, LOL! Still alot of fun!
It’s super cool. But.. that Josh Middleton Tonality tho
Kirk used the amp slaved to a marshall not James there is an interview of Flemming desmitifing the myth. Same with the tubescreamer kirk, not James.
Doesn't surprise me. Because a plain meBoo sounds legendary. I always assumed this
It sounds worse through a Marshall generally
DUDE 😭😭😭😭 THE DIALS EQ ARE BEFORE PREAMP SO TO TIGHTEN U HAVE TO PUT THE BASS AT 0
Yea, I have a Mark V 25, bass is always on 0 on my high gain channel
I was wondering why it was so flabby and I was afraid to turn the bass down to zero cos that feels weird to do.
@@daved2352 Yea, it does at first, any bass you need is better dialed in on the 5 band, on the gain channel at least.
14 minutes later… oh btw… there is a second amp 😂
This amp sounds like Chatreeo.
spoiled on Tonex no need
Weak tone in my opinion, don't like it. i'll save the money for another tube amp, but thanks for your Video! you do a great job!
Try it out for yourself with the 14 day trial. Everyone’s ears are different. His settings might be different from what you would use.
@@petruccirocks02 this could be but i am more like "if the tone of Mendel is weak, what will i get then?" It is ok not to like all apps.
@@scentia_est that's a very good point bout Mendel. I thought the same honestly, for something that is supposed to sound like a Mesa, it was really thin sounding imo.
You have no idea how to dial in a Mesa Mark amp.
