There is more to this video than meets the eye! There is an explaination behind it, and DKDKTV did an amazing job explaining the meaning behind the song, what a pity it was nver included in your video! Anyways thanks for reacting 💜💜
This was my 1st introduction to bts in late 2018/early 2019. It was trending and became my husband and i lived in korea for a year in 93-94, he wondered what id think. Man i didnt know what to think. I didnt have cc turned on because i knew nothing about them. The mv over stimulated me at 1st and i wasnt sure what i thought. But i kept going back to it, & things like mic drop and fake live and stuff kept getting recommended. It was within a few weeks i was down bad for them lol. Had to know their names, so i could say things like "hobi dances like hes boneless" instead of "that guy" etc. Then it was over because the more i learned the more i realized exactly how different they are to all other groups, korean or otherwise. I know you dont do a lot of explanations, but dkdktv has one thats great and just explains the cultural references which is interesting. Because the theme of idol is, no matter what you say about me, i love myself, the mv was symbolizing things netize s made fun of them for, j hope wore bugs bunny because hes been teased about being goofy, taehyung wore glasses because on v live once someone made fun of him for that. Sugas snow white shirt was because people told him he was too pale. I dont remember everything because theres a lot. Dkdktv explains the cultural references, theres a lot, i didnt sleep last night so i cant formulate a proper explanation sorry. I saw other comments saying you guys dont like watching explanations, so i tried to give you a little context in case you dont watch it. Its just really subpar because im too exhausted sorry. Ty for continuing with your journey. 💜
This was after they were being told they weren't "korean" anymore because they had gotten success in the US. They also were being told they had too much CGI in their videos. They went all in that!
It was such bullsht back during those years lol the same bts who always opt not do use green screen and do as much practical effects as they can wwre hated on for green screen. And with Idol they rly said: lets give antis what they want lmaooo like 😭😭😭 the guys dgaf and as they should
At the time, haters were like "you use too much cgi! You guys sold out to Westerners, and ditched Korea!" - this was their response, mixing super Korean instrumentals, wear traditional Korean garb with Korean cultural festival dancing tigers with cg turned up to 200% and debut this in America and we never heard from those haters again lol. As a bonus, Suga then decided to make Daechwita and Haegeum which as yall know was super traditional Korean instrument based. Meanwhile, other groups never got bashed with the same criticism for some reason 🤔
Sad in todays world that no one is smart enough to rotate their employees. mainly because they don't care. ( Corp,) Instead they pay 10 people to learn only one thing. ( each person holds a piece of the puzzle) Instead of teaching everyone the whole puzzle and switching them around. Less people would call in sick and productivity goes up.
Thank you, gentlemen, you did well. BTS have ALWAYS had to deal with disrespect and abuse but/and this is of course a cry of defiance against those who openly put them down. "Idol" music is rather disrespected in Korea with many disliking it because they see the artists as untalented (!?!), uncreative and only doing on stage what they are told by directors. For many years Idol groups had little to no artistic freedom and were indeed treated as simple 'actors' performing as instructed. BTS were always different though and somewhat broke that mould, because nowadays many groups do write their own music and contribute to decisions on their music and style. But BTS do so more, I think, than most/any, and did so from even before debut. There is also the fact here that the MV itself includes dozens of clap-backs against criticisms they faced, one of which was that BTS were becoming too 'Westernised'. There are multiple Korean cultural icons used to emphasise BTS' sense of place and time, their roots, their childhood stories etc which they always carry within them. There are also several other symbols here that are there specifically to share with ARMYs. DKDKTV is an excellent explanation of this to deepen appreciation of this work. Enjoy.

I don't think they like looking at explanations
They did such a good job with their explanations. I wish they still did them.
@setofreakinkaiba8553 that's sad
@@setofreakinkaiba8553 maybe they have no idea there is one. I bet they would include it should they know in the first place. Borahae !🫰🏻💜
Reactors who are not interested in explanations are always a big disappointment for me. I just have to leave the room.😥

I giggled when you talked about the freedom and joy of separating yourself from the judgement of others. Yes, how suitable! 😄💜
Wish more people could have that capability. It really makes life better! Have a great day!
