That was a good gameplay video. The main thing I can see be a problem if the game goes on too long is the culling mechanic since you're forced to trash a card at the start of each round, and once all of your starting cards are trashed and/or you end up with a hand of your market cards, now you're being forced to trash your more powerful cards as well. Plus, if you'll being blocked from buying cards early in the game due to all the cards available costing 6-7 gold, you might not be able to get your first blue card bought until about 3 of your starting 6-8 cards are gone and 3 rounds past. The trash mechanic is decent for this game, but I think the mandate trash mechanic could use some work, especially when a multiplayer game drags on for many turns if everyone is having a hard time getting gold bars and now they have to trash their more powerful cards that are giving them most of their engine building and sight goals for the game, slowing them down a lot. I wish most games could instead give you a card in your starting deck with an effect that lets you trash a card from your hand or discard pile. That could work better when starting decks have a built-in culling card from the start of the game so that you don't need to invent new rules and/or wait for a market deck to give you a trash option.
I see it a little differently. You’re right that late game you sometimes have to trash a purchased card, but that’s part of what makes the decisions challenging and engaging instead of just rote.
Poor Prince Charles the Normie was no match for Mike the Mauler! lol Interesting that their previous version Goblivion is also on the KS and it's 1-2 player solo/coop. It's also got a campaign mode. Have you played Goblivion at all Mike (first released 2018)
@@OneStopCoopShop Goblivion was the game that brought me back into boardgames. I saw it one day and for some reason I decided to buy it, it called to me lol I must have played 5 or 6 hours straight! It is a bit like Friday, but more fun with more things to do.
