Lewis was a brilliant luminary who lived during the dark depths of twentieth-century materialism.

@@Yonuc2 The darkness of the two centuries is the darkness of the ages, would you say? I think the ascendancy of the Gospel up until the onslaught of the Renaissance and the Enlightenment ("Enlightenment") made way for the dual attack of the assertions of Darwin and Marx. These made the 20th and 21st century, I think.

As great as Lewis is, he can be make one believe that The Truth, be it manifested as scientific or any other facts, is not ultimately a Person, but rather is attainable by human cognition.

      Amen JC.
      Isa 55:8-9
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
None of that is to say we shouldn’t raise our thoughts, or that we should be irrational very often, but only that we must not think we can know Him fully via intellect. Paradoxes abound in the Light of the world.

One Evidence that the scientific method is consistent with Christianity over naturalism:
Both men in the debate for deserving credit for developing the scientific method were both very devout Christians. (Galileo and Bacon).
It would be a bit odd then if the scientific method was inconsistent with belief in miracles. Or for that matter the fields of science, basically all of which were founded and developed by devout Christians.

If you mean immediately that depends on the nature of the encounter. If you mean long-term, as I am ask Him the meaning of life and what must be done to improve life and fix issues and ask Him what He wishes of me. I say this in the ideal, the truth is a battle against myself for service of God and my fellow man. A slow death to the little king so the Eternal King may reign. Erasing my pitiful written story to see the story of the Author of Life.
      And amen, thank Him.
      Thanks be to God. Amen.

@@spazemfathemcazemmeleggymi272 Well, according to the bible, god can choose to make people believe or to harden their hearts. Meanwhile, I know I don't have that power myself. It seems like it would be god's fault in this circumstance.
I was referring to other religions. Why does god allow these lies to propagate, knowing that they muddy the waters? If I "correctly" identify that Islam and Judaism are false, why wouldn't I connect the dots and also conclude that Christianity is false too?
