The andalusian is a PRE (pura raza española) lusitano is like the portugese equivalent. Up until 1960 the two breeds would be registered in the same books to keep track of blood lines as they were so similar and came from the same breed originally. So if they look very similar, it is because it is the same breed, but from two different countries.
