  • This complex demolition company project had to be completed in the busiest street in Nottingham, England. Surrounded by shoppers, pedestrians and office workers, the site operated fro almost 6 months, and on completion the team received no noise or dust complaints from the surrounding businesses. This demolition involved night time bridge lifts, intense engineering and a new protection wall experiment that turned out be so successful the invention was adopted industry wide.

As an unqualified onlooker demolition sites look chaotic, but having seen this film what organisational precision. Fantastic job.

Great vid. A large open green park would be a great replacement

I missed out on visiting this place, but then again, I've only been to Nottingham a handful of times and never in the position where I could explore it. I didn't know about Broadmarsh until 2017 and by then, they were demolishing the bus station. This was my trip from Leicester to Middlesborough on the National Express. Once the virus that will not be named is at the point where I can start travelling again, I will visit Nottingham.

Great video, but have to point out that this is the Broadmarsh car park being demolished, not the shopping centre. The shopping centre wasn't demolished until the owners (Intu) went bust during the COVID pandemic.

I can understand why it came down but it's sad to see it go, it was such a fixture of my childhood and early adult life.

I've seen videos of the Broadmarsh which are newer than this video. Was it just the bus station which got demolished?
