We had a jd 6800! Definitely didnt appreciate it at the time! It replaced a mb trac 1000 and a jd4040!😢 youll find the 6100 a bit small for modern life! I drove a 3185 fazza in oz ! Man that thing could fly on the chaser! Cheers joe!
Great video Joe, choose the tractor wisely. You might want something nostalgic but it needs to work for you and appreciate in value at the same time while being "Dad & Ben Proof" 😉👍.
Joe I'd go for a Tsa 110 because a farm near me an 100 with a loader on and on a trailer enny bigger than 8 ton it was gutless even with the pump wound up I think it didn't have the torque and as it was the Duel power transmission it all ways struggled to keep up with the neighbours Case Landsmen Special 95 with a 12 ton Norton trailer on the back.
Get a new holland ts definitely we had 1 years ago and loved it really good tractor. Ts115 is what I learned to drive on. We put silage through our straw chopper with an old 80hp Renault with the revs low no problem at all, think you should replace the 6130r with a 80hp Renault, you wouldn't stall here then 😉😉 (we run the straw chopper in high box)
I've a contractor friend who runs a ts115 they used it on milage clamp's for ploughing balling and maize drilling soon after buying it they fitted a T,B. Terbo to it een on a clamp you could here it whistle the same as the Ford 7810 that they all so own did when worked hard funny though the 7840 that they used before the ts didn't seam to have the same problem but I think New Holland changed the gearing and the micro processes in the SLE gearbox used in the 40 and Ts Series.
