Man...those Grant genes are something else. Who knew charm, wit and aging like a fine wine was genetic? Very fond of Mr. Grant - he has provided me with many hours of hard-core giggling for which I am eternally grateful.
Imagine being so successful and accomplished for so long that you even forget the names of some of your own work - and still have the humility to openly ask for a reminder :)
Joe no...Jon Stewart definitely doesn't like him. Spoken about it himself, apparently Hugh was an ar$e behind the scenes and upset some of his staff and Jon wouldn't ever have him back on the show.
@Kaitlyn Foster ... so the guy who's spent most of his overlong career in and out of rehab, only emerging to treat us all to some outrageous, less than entertaining stunts and spells of bad behaviour in between stints, then overcompensating as well as being overcompensated for it as an actor, doesn't like the other one who's also just self-involved enough to be a bit of a bastard, but just self-deprecating or just smart enough not to come across as as much of an annoying douchebag, or more bearable to be around than some daft yank? SHOCKER. What a lot of warmth, and BS. That's deep, though. It's a deep pile of crap.
Well, in this life, we can not have all the people like us right? Especailly you sometimes tried to be loosen yourself to sometimes become arss. And hugh himself takes it very well. Isn't he?
If people hate him they must be his fellow Brits because America loves him. He’s honest, engaging, very witty, charming a true gentleman and very talented actor.
Hugh Grant has a great sense of humor! Sad to say but no one I know personally can make me laugh like he can. His kind of sense of humor is my favorite.
I think Meryl is right about contact lenses. You can sometimes see them in films and it's probably better not to wear them in especially period pieces.
Have often thought that I would really enjoy meeting Hugh Grant! Interesting that the "stars" that he feels he is ,quite different from, are the stars that I would feel quite different from also! However, if I were fortunate enough to meet him could not keep talking to him long as I think everything he says is quite funny and I might die from laughing!
I wonder why Tara Fitzgerald is never mentioned? They did two films together in the 1990s(Sirens and The Englishman Who Went Up a Hill But Came Down a Mountain).

So just say .... I shouldn't be too surprised to hear that Robert Downey Jr, according to Hugh, hated him! Although I always liked RDJ, and even had a crush on him after first seeing him in Less Than Zero years ago, he does seem very 'Hollywood' to me and he comes across as being quite egotistical, so maybe being around an actor like Hugh who has had much more enduring success than he has made him feel 'threatened'. Also, he's fairly short so maybe is insecure about that and has a bit of the 'Little Hitler' syndrome, and he's apparently an Aries and they can be very egotistical, selfish, rude and intolerant! This is apparently a quote of his about how he felt about Hugh Grant when they did Restoration together: "I just thought [Hugh Grant] was a dick, that's all. And I still do. You know, and that could be something that has to do with me, or it could just be that not everyone in this industry is someone I'd care to hang out with." As for Hugh being asked how he got on with Drew Barrymore, how funny that he had to ask the interviewer what the name of the film was that he did with her because he couldn't remember!
@@yaldamoghaddami8338 At the time "Restoration" was made Downey was still addicted to multiple substances so maybe now he's in his right mind he might feel differently. Who knows.
I've noticed Downey seems to get a bit guarded around very British/English actors. I reckon he likes to think of himself as one so gets defensive when he meets a real one ha.

Hysterical, gorgeous, intelligent, unpredictable. Unlike most actors, he's as entertaining off screen as well as on.
settle down. He's a human being and not unlike your neighbor. Celebrity worship is an embarrassing trait.
I think Hugh Grant is fantastic. The fact that he shuns Hollywood, even better.
Agreed.
"shun" how? I discount any arguments that immediately throw everyone into one category.
He shuns acting period!

There is no more charming an actor/personality than Hugh Grant's.

He's so charming and funny.
She is in the same category with Emma Thompson in terms of lunacy 😂🤣
They have this brother-sister energy to them whenever they're in interviews its so funny

Lol. Yeh how is a chair mad?
It’s a very British thing. We suffix the phrase “Mad as a…” with a random mundane object. Mad as a doorknob. Mad as a shoe. Mad as a carrot. Etc.
Awwww....To Meryl I could have been Denzel Washington 😂
Such a brilliant, charming, classy man! And a very solid actor despite his cynical irreverence for showbiz...
I think Huge Grant is amazing as a actor. Love him! ❤️
Love this, thanks.
I widh hw would have asked about Sandra Bullock.

It was humorous
