    Jan!! What a great idea with the tile and craft sticks!! I have struggled so many times to attempt that sort of result, but freehand, and you know that dont work well at all! 😂

    I am only 3 minutes into your video and already gleaned 2 useful tips I can put to practice right away...in fact one of them should help with an issue I was grappling with a few minutes ago on a project. Thanks Jan!!!

      Thanks so much! 😊 I struggled with this one, not making the video or the projects or the lessons but after it was all done, it was so long and needed so much editing, then I burnt all the projects, so I had to remake them to have for still shots, I kept wanting to add more and more and I had to stop myself, but I’m really happy with the end result and happy to share it with everybody

      @@janmontarsi.-blendangles7960 Filming and editing is hard enough let alone burning the pieces and having to do it again! Ouch! I've messed up plenty but never burned them. You should be happy with yourself, and again, great to see you back on here 🥰

      @@keipfr I never burn anything except when I put all my pieces from a video class in the oven all at the same time. I’m usually much more careful, but it was the last baking that oven had literally turned into puffy charcoal in about five minutes the oven thermostat must’ve broken and it shot up to 500° and I was checking on it every few minutes it was a very narrow window of disaster

    Thank you so much for posting this video❣️ I have been making a collection of various colored stripe canes lately yet this video provides so many techniques and varieties that I never thought of. The striped earrings are awesome!! I also appreciate what you shared information about effectively using the extruder. It helped me better understand how the colors morph in the extruder, as well as, how to use the translucent effectively with the colors. I don’t use Facebook, so unfortunately I can’t access those videos, but I can check out the store (CreateAlong) you mentioned. I, too love the Creative Dork cutters, they are so sharp and make clean cuts. I thoroughly enjoyed this video and appreciate all that you shared- some very basic information that I didn’t know. Thank you 💛🧡❤️💜💙💚

      I do have promotional videos for my other classes on my TH-cam channel. You don’t have to be on Facebook if you want to purchase one of those three of them are sold at createalong.com
      My String theory workshop directly so you can always ask me here or email me. I can give you my email address if necessary.

    Many thanks for this great tutorial, lots of good tips too. I'm not on Facebook, and don't particularly want to be, but your string theory workshop sounds really good. Is there a way to sign up for it without joining Facebook?

      How I sell that class is directly from me, I’m old-school so I take PayPal or Venmo payment once paid. I set you up for access on my private TH-cam channel. I need your TH-cam email address to enter into your access if you’d like to email me and put string theory in header box. We can handle it that way if you need help finding your TH-cam login email address we can do that through email. I have screenshots of how to find it. I really like using messenger. Only for the reason that I can go back on our conversation and see our whole transaction instantly available for help or questions I am happy to help you through email montarsi@cinci.rr.com

    Do you have to use primo accents clay for your string theory tutorial? I don't see many colors you list online. I don't find a good source for premo clay in general. Can you use sculpey premo?

    • @janmontarsi.-blendangles7960
      @janmontarsi.-blendangles7960  20 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@catherineclark6510 you can use Cernit Metallics , but you need to dilute them with at least 30% translucent and I use Primo translucent for that because it aids and how easily it extrudes. Did you get my PDF handout from my Facebook string theory workshop group page in the files?

      @@catherineclark6510 they still carry 18 karat gold, peacock, pearl, bright, green, pearl, and purple pearl as well as regular white colored “pearl” using white pearl and 18 karat gold you can mix all the other colors with my color recipes, using alcohol, inks, and other clay colors from the regular line. I covered it all on the details of the video and need help finding my PDF hand out with all the color recipes. Let me know.

      @@catherineclark6510 on the sculpey.com which is not the easiest site to navigate once you get to the Premo page you have to click on each color because they have the pearl metallic mixed in with the regular colors and not as a separate group but they do have the ones I mentioned about that would leave you to make orange and magenta, pearl and yellow following my recipes.

    I bought a pasta machine from either Hobby Lobby or Michael's for $39. It is not consistent at all. The handle end produces a slightly thicker result than the other end. I could never do this kind of work with that machine. I'm going to have to find an Atlas.

    • @janmontarsi.-blendangles7960
      @janmontarsi.-blendangles7960  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      this is the one to buy. It doesn’t have the plate to add a motor later, but that’s something you can get separately, but you won’t believe the difference in the ease of use. If you watch my machine video where I take part two atlases and put them back together, you learn a lot about machines but here’s the Amazon link and if you don’t get the new model that has removable scraper blades send it back in order another one you can easily tell because at the end of the rollers there’s plastic washers that are black underneath the machine there’s U-shaped scraper blades that have a spring pin that makes them release in just a second clean in between colors.
