Yknow.....I agree....because it astounds me how someone this talented isnt a household name...but....the people who GET Marks music...really GET it and I almost prefer that. I would hate to see insane popularity and the disgusting music industry try to turn him and his music into a cheap commodity.

Even though he shit on the Screaming Trees in interviews? Honestly, it feels more like a Rob Zombie steal to me.
It sounds to me like Mark doing what Mark does. I don't think the Trees came anywhere near this
@@stivaro I think starting from Uncle Anesthesia the Screaming Trees were actually very good. Before that they were unlistenable. I don’t even understand how they took such a turn so suddenly.

Trabajos que han ido consolidando una carrera fiable llena de coherencia. Así llegamos a este "Gargoyle" su décima obra en solitario, que ha compuesto en complicidad con Ron Marshall, al que conoció cuando su banda Exit Calm, le teloneó en 2008. El disco es de lo mejor de su carrera, aquí encontramos ecos de kraut rock ("Nocturne"), electrónica que se acerca a Primal Scream ("Beehive"), tono épico ("Old Swan"), pop de los 70 ("Emperor") y acústica emocionante, encima es uno de sus álbumes menos sombríos. A sus 52 años muestra una afinada inspiración y su rocosa voz de barítono sigue en perfecto estado. Muy recomendable.
