- Hi and welcome to The Amalfi Coast vlog!
This vlog is definitely different from my usual travel vlogs, as this is comprised of past footage from a trip I took back on 2017. Since this vlog doesn’t follow my usual vlog style, I put this together with voiceovers, stories, and recommendations for Amalfi, Positano, Ravello, Sorrento, and beyond! As you follow along with me in the beautiful Costiera Amalfitana, I show you some of my favourite spots to eat and explore in the Amalfi Coast.We stayed in Amalfi and drove over from Rome. The Amalfi Coast roads are quite spectacular to drive on, as you are so close to the waters edge!
In Amalfi, we loved to have breakfast at the pasticceria Andrea Pansa, gelato from cioccolato Andrea Pansa, explore Piazza del Duomo, and Pizzeria Donna Stella, Ristorante Lido Azzurro. In Positano we ate at Ristorante Le Tre Sorelle, Pasticceria La Zagara. In Ravello we ate my favourite granita al limn from this cart called Tramonti Sorbet (highy recommend finding this guy who drives along the coast). We visited Villa Cimbrone which is an absolute marvel! I highly recommend Ravello and Villa Cimbrone.In Sorrento we ate at Pizzeria Trianon, Gelateria Bougainvillea, Ristorante O Parrucchiano la Favourite (under the lemon trees - stunning)!We ate plenty of pizza, pasta, gelato, and desserts along the way, such as delizia al limone, mozzarella di buffala, and so on…
I really love how this vlog came together, as it was so nice to reminisce over past travels, especially since it looks like yet again this summer Italy won’t be possible for me who lives in Ontario. Going to Italy next week! Visiting Rome, Amalfi, Positano and Ravello. Back in 2019 I used your recommendations in Rome and they honestly did not disappoint. Dragging my fiancé to Da Enzo, Roscioli, Gioliti and Tonerello when we get to Rome !

06:54 the real original pizza from Campania, the birthplace of pizza. In Italy pizza is good everywhere, but in Napoli and Campania you can taste the best pizza. Great video.

Hi! Thanks so much… more recently my family and I did Lake Como which we vlogged.. it’s SO difficult to say because they are similar in many ways but also different. I can say the food is always better in the south, so for that Amalfi wins.. but there is more of a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere to Lake Como.. it feels a bit less touristic. Both are incredible destinations and you cannot go wrong no matter what you pick.

Love your recap of the Amalfi coast. Our trip was canceled for last month and rescheduled for next May 2022. We are traveling to Positano and Rome. We will be staying in Positano for a week and doing day trips from there. Planning on Capri for sure. What other areas would you recommend or feel not worth it? Thank you!
Capri is gorgeous!! I didn’t go in this particular vlog but I’ve been twice, very nice! Anywhere along the Amalfi Coast will be lovely for you to see, as only Positano for that long will get a bit repetitive. As I said in this vlog I highly recommend Ravello & Villa Cimbrone! Rome is my favourite city in the world, I never have enough time there, and I’ve spent over 1 year of my life in Roma ❤️🙌

I’m going from Canada to Italy as well! Do you typically pay with cash all over Italy? Or credit cards? I’m worried that the fees that credit cards take will be a lot
Hi! It’s a good idea to check with your bank on the exact cost of using your card when overseas. I recently went to Paris and my fiancé used his card for everything, and the fees were similar to what you would pay with the exchange rate when taking out money in Canada either way. It is a good idea to keep cash on you for small things like coffee, gelato, etc.. however you can easily also pay with your card. I hope this helps ☺️ Keep your cash on you in a money belt as well if you can.
