Gail Kim is one of the greatest female wrestlers ever.. damn I wish she could have been here during the NXT golden days , women’s revolution and today.. So damn good.
You could also put Kevin Owens on this list. He won the NXT Championship like 2 months after he debuted. But then again, it wasn't considered a world title at that point.
You know, The Giant's entry makes me wonder. Could a case be made to count that Monster Truck Sumo match thing with Hogan on the roof (where The Giant decided to no-sell literal death afterwards) as his first match, as that was technically before The Giant's World Title match?
What about ECW? Mikey Whipwreck came up from the ring crew trainees in less than a year to be the ultimate underdog World Champion, and Mike Awesome in his first full-time ECW match, after working a few dates on loan from FMW...
The IInspiration/IIconics won the knockouts tag titles in their first match just like Mustafa Ali wining the X-division championship on his first match in tna as well. It’s a crazy world we live in
@@khesipresents1885 it makes sense though right, like why push a guy in his 20’s who can carry the company for the next 20 or so years when you can push someone in this early to mid 40’s when they’ll retire in 5-7 years…
It’s insane to think that within those 23 matches before winning the world championship, Brock won the entire King of the Ring tournament as a side quest! 🤯
What about Hulk Hogie himself, didn't he win the WCW title in his first WCW match? Does Balor not count because it was a Universal title and not a WORLD title? Do we consider the Divas title a world title?? It was the only womens title in WWE at the time and if Gail Kim counts than Paige should too.
Didnt Carlito beat John Cena for the US title in his first match on smackdown and I know this doesnt count but didnt he win the intercontinental title on his first match on raw?
That’s a bit off. He was the inaugural champion . I wouldn't count him in the list for that , because Inaugural champions have different consideration before given the championships. For example, are you high profile wrestler. Not to mention he didn't won it on his first match, as he had to fight Omega first. And knowing AEW continuity, they consider his career before and after FMW/CMLL/ECW/WCW/WWF/NJPW to be part of his career. People he beat, championships he won. They considered him high profile wrestler, and they made him fight Kenny Omega who was another high profile wrestler. If we talk about people who should be in that list and we mention AEW Word title, then CM Punk and Moxley as they took 9 months to get the World championship. I take Moxley created the standard of how long it should take at least. And CM Punk taken the least time and devalued the title, because he only had 1 amazing feud . And considering the work others had put in their journeys in the company, there were people ahead the line.
"..there was no going back!" for Kurt as TNA World Champion after beating Christian and Sting at Sacrifice? They seceded from the NWA right after and vacated their titles... 🤣🤣 Kurt won KOTM to win the new *TNA* title at Slammiversary a month later...
I think they're counting matches with the company in which Paige had dozens of matches in NXT before being called up. Same logic would apply to Finn Balor Universal title win.
You forgot the Road Warriors, right after they formed, Booker Ole Anderson literally GAVE them the NWA Georgia National Tag titles and had the Commentary say on TV that they Won them off TV. So in fact ,ZERO matches .
8:31 Ethan Page didn't defeat Trick Williams though, it was a fatal 4 way, and Ethan won by pinning someone else. Sure, he got the title, but he never actually beat Trick, nor did he sufficiently "Whoop That Trick" either.Get your facts straight Simon!
only 3 minutes in.. i know #1 has to be "the giant" "big show" Paul White.. 1 match. punk in aew, shouldn't count he had many matches before in wwe... Kurt Angle in tna shouldn't count he had plenty of matches before in wwe.
i'd say about half the list shouldn't count, they were well established in other major companies, it wasn't their first match, or even first few matches if they had 100+ matches in the other company.
Hulk won WCW title first match, Vader in NJPW got it quick, superstar Billy graham came back and won the title on his return match, Chris Jericho won the AEW title in his first few matches in the company, so many missed people… edit, Finn balor won the universal title a month or two after his raw debut
Actually, since 2021, the NXT title has been recognized as a world championship, as weird as that sounds. That also makes Sami Zayn and Bobby Roode and Shinsuke Nakamura and Andrade former world champs.
@@chigozieukpabi8006Naww it went back to developmental when 2.0 started, but I know it was considered a world title during 2019 bc they wanted to attempt to see if NXT can actually be its own third brand
Vacant has The Giant beat.
Vacant has won just about every title ever without competing in a single match
😂😂😂 You have a point
Vacent never lost either. Put respect on their name.
Hulk Hogan defeated Ric Flair for the WCW Championship in his first WCW bout
Santino Marella winning the Intercontinental Title on his debut match.
True, but the IC title isn't a World title. That's why isn't in this video.
Sheamus deserves at least ONE more world title run in the next five years.
He's a midcarder now..there's be no point to that .I doubt he'd be booked to beat Roman,Cody, punk,Gunther,McIntyre,Rollins ............he had his time
Finn Balor won the universal title pretty quickly upon his call up from NXT.
But I guess since he had plenty of matches in NXT, it doesn't count.
Dude has been on raw for 7 years and he peaked in his first month and became a midcarder after
@@marcohavokkhaosin that case where’s Kevin Owens😭

Without Gail Kim & her rivalry with Awesome Kong then we wouldn't have gotten the Women's Revolution in WWE as fast as we got it
You could also put Kevin Owens on this list. He won the NXT Championship like 2 months after he debuted. But then again, it wasn't considered a world title at that point.
It isn't really considered a world title even now.
Then again, that record has been broken by ethan page
Gail Kim won the woman’s title in her debut match

Paige? Or does all her NXT time count?
That’s what I wanna know, bc there’s some people on this list that confuse me. Like I assumed Finn Balor would be on this list
The current Women's titles *could, maybe, possibly* be considered World titles. The WWE Divas Title could not...
I had no idea it took Sheamus 21 matches to win the WWE Championship.
Khali debuted attacking The Undertaker; his first matches came afterwards...
That was fun very funny when the giant destroyed Hulk Hogan’s motorcycle and he was laughing like he was in the Waterboy
Yes!! Its Simon
Simon, you forgot Hulk Hogan beating Ric Flair for the WCW championship in his debut match at Bash at the Beach in 1994 🤔
We been waiting 😂

Hulk Hogan also won the WCW World title in his debut match

If you want to have a little fun with it, Kairi Sane won the Mae Young Classic after only 5 matches in WWE lol
Dont forget The Fiend won it on three (and he had it won on the second)
Does that necessarily count since it was Bray Wyatt?
For me the most impressive is Kurt, just because of the competition for that belt at the time.
I love Riho 🎉
If you count Riho then where is Jericho being the inaugural AEW world champion in his second match?
April 199*8* for Vince and Austin on Raw that never happened...

Paige winning the Diva's Champioship from AJ Lee.

Does santina marella winning the ic title in his debut match count?
I feel sorry for David Arquette. He loved wrestling and hated that they made him do that.
Don't want to be that guy,but I'm pretty sure Khali won the title after his feud with The Undertaker, not before.
Wowow😊❤❤😊 very nice😊❤😊❤😊🎉
Didn't AJ Styles win the IWGP in his first match? Also not a world title but Santino Marella won the Intercontinental Championship in his debut.
4:00 That was April 98 when Dude Love came out and ruined the match at the end.
Shouldn't Rhea be on this list. She debuted on RAW. Challenged Asuka. Had one tag match with Asuka and then defeated her at Wrestlemania
Did I miss Finn Balor on this list?
Anything involving Vince Russo sucks.
Vince Russo’a existence sucks.
BRO!
If you choose to forget his booking success on wwf and WCW then yes you're correct
