The reason behind your poor pass is due to not using the stronger leg to touch the ball before passing the ball. In order to let the player touch the ball is either to stop the ball by double pressing on the right side quickly so the circle becomes dark. Or you automatically change the direction by facing the player towards its stronger leg.
Believe me your pass will become magnificent if you practice on this. I can make a tutorial on this if anyone asks me to do it.
