They are not saying its his father or wife's fault. What they mean is a person's choices in life are influence by certain things. Ultimately it was his choice and his responsibility but you could go as far as saying people have no will of their own, everyone is a result of their past experiences and influences.

Watched this with my mother yesterday, she was so into it hehe. The only part they made me cringe was that even finding our about her STD and his 'hobby' she kept monitoring him and went so far to run after him and get hit by a car. And the whole plastic surgery to adjust to his liking made me upset. Even the hottest ladies get cheated on and in some cases with a less hotter lady. So ladies should not put the blame on theirselfs. It's like saying to the law that you killed someone and used an excuse that you were influenced or you felt like it. Everyone is accountable for their own action.
I laughed when her son brought home all those cute girl classmates and she asked him why? He answered, "The more the merrier." He's going to have a great life ahead of him when it comes to women. It's said that the more women a guy has around him, the more women want to be around him. It's like the power of magnetism. I just browsed through the drama because of the comments below. I was shocked they blamed the woman. If a wife refused to have sex the husband could get her to go for help or he could divorce her he doesn't have to sleep with prostitutes. And sometimes the wife has a reason to refuse sex if her husband is doing things that are not good for the relationship. She just gets turned off by her husband. Studies show that it's 50/50: men and women both cheat (just men get caught more). Either way you get help and move on. Even though it's more socially common to slam male cheaters, it doesn't mean it's any less a problem for the rest of us.

This isn't a Korean thing. Cheating is quite common. A lot of people cheat on your spouses and they never find out.
Not a Korean thing, true if you mean that cheating happens anywhere in the world. But what is not common is the extent to which, in both Korea and Japan, hostess bars and massage parlors in "entertainment districts" like those portrayed in this drama (and the attendant prostitution that stems from them) are seen and accepted as just a "normal night out" by otherwise normal people, to an extent that is hardly conceivable in the Western world.
