The Jerry Lawler heart attack episode was the moment I truly gained respect for Michael Cole. You could tell he was absolutely terrified for the rest of the show, but he continued on for the rest of the show like the professional he is. He has become the voice of WWE, and on that night, he earned that title.
I had an idea for a series that Adam could do.Its called how to rebuild and it’s a fantasy booking thing about rebuilding wasted stars like Sami Zayn and Cesaro.
What's he doing on PFK and did on WhatCulture are rewriting history or how they should book a ppv ahead of time, yes granted ... But for just how to get these stars to be stars again, how he would book one wrestler... I'd watch that
I rather like this idea. Granted it would be a lot of work, and I would not blame Adam for not wanting to do it. But Adam is so good and picking out every little detail and articulating his thought process, if anyone can do it, he's your guy. Have a good look at a particular superstar's gimmick. What to keep, what to tweak, what to ditch. Which superstars would be the best choice for them to have matches with. And ultimately, how to book the match that puts them back on top.
Post 9/11 Smackdown was the first foot that went forward in the normal life of Americans and our entertainment industry after the attacks. It broke up days of nothing but the same exact news on every cable channel.
Also, the show wasn't scheduled for the 13th, it was supposed to take place on the 11th. Remember that all flights were grounded for days. So, basically all the WWE stars were kinda stranded in Houston for days. They could either drive home, or try and give a shell shocked nation something, anything else to think about for a couple of hours. To me, that's one of the WWE's finest hours. Not just as a way to escape for a moment, but also a defiant stance against terrorism and fear. I think Vince might believe Mania this year is serving the same purpose, but really it's a different situation, since we're fighting a virus, not terrorists.
Yeah. I remember that as many news outlets bashing WWE for being inconsiderate, there were as many and manymore people thanking WWE for reminding them that people do care and life moves on.
