Only just discovered Russell Howard and l’m definitely a fan! Absolutely brilliant and had me laughing out loud 😆….. if my neighbours heard not sure how pleased they were as it’s almost 3.30am here in Australia 🤪
One of the last Christmas presents I bought my dad was a bottle of whisky. He asked if that was the only size they had. I said they did have a smaller one!
Negative relationships are absolutely valid But if you have a good relationship with both parents and 30 quid to spend at Christmas then you decide to all of it on your mother you are the problem Also plenty of folk have more issues with mother than they have with Dad
@@davela79 The amount of people in that situation are clearly a minority though, I don't think it's a big deal. Even then, maybe they have kids and not much money to spare so they prioritise getting gifts for them over both their parents (and since that includes their dads, women like them might be included in the 21%), I think that's fair. It just doesn't seem fair to judge people we don't know personally over a statistic being presented out of context. And I don't see how some people having more issues with their mother is relevant, that's just changing the subject.
Overall number in that situation will not be big but, the flipside is how many Dads are in that situation through no fault of their own? Exes can be very vindictive and twist their children's views of their dads, even years later.
@@lymay8340 I remember seeing a study that said women more often would take responsibility for Christmas shopping than men (about 80% of women do vs 60% of men). That's a different statistic than the one you're describing, but now that I have seen your comment, I wanna see the percentage of men who don't buy presents for their dads at Christmas - for all we know it's even higher.
I just ordered my boyfriend’s best friend some novelty socks and a gag gift. Basically setting him up for cheesy Christmas gifts! Most dads prefer a funny or fun gift than something fancy
My dad is estranged and I only met him for the first time again when I was 17 and have seen him twice since then. We don't get each other present for obvious reason. I hope the percentage took this into consideration.😅 "21% of women don't buy their dad a Christmas present. 9% have never met the guy!" 😂
How many Dads are not in their children's lives because of the mothers? Some might not buy their dads a xmas gift because, their mum's have brainwashed them into thinking he's not nice or even a bad man.
@Thurgosh_OG counter example my parents split up when I was 14, by that time my father had made no effect to form a meaning connection with me, and it was my mother that made tge effect for him an I to continued to see eachother until it started to tank my mental health. Now I'm 30, and I hear from my father maybe 3 times a year, while i share a house with my mum. Additionally despite it being the December 11th on writing I have no idea if I will even see my father this Christmas and am only getting him a gift as the fallout of not doing so would be more pa8n than throwing together some meaningless gift.
Don't tell people not to buy presents for their dogs, Russell! Ours still plays with the squeaky pig, especially, I got him last year! they do appreciate it! :)
I bought my dad an old NBA game for his PS4 cause he's bored of FIFA. Honestly the best reaction I've gotten from him for a present 😂 also happy to not be in the 21%
Or your mum kicked him out and wouldn't let him be part of you life as children. Plenty of cases like that too, especially with the courts blindly favouring the mothers for decades.
I miss Christmas as a kid. I was raised Jehovah's witness, but I'd still do all the activities at school. Plus, Christmas day, we'd head over to my grandparents and stuff ourselves silly on granny-cooked Jamaican food and we'd get enough food to last until next Christmas to take home because Jamaican grannies don't play when it comes to how much they cook.
I'd also like to see a study on the precent of women not buying for theif mother it see if there is most difference between the parents, also the same questions for men
I mean... I won't be buying a gift for my Dad this Christmas, because he's been dead for years. It definitely didn't account for dropkicks, but I also wonder whether that poll accounted for the percentage of us whose fathers are just no longer able to receive a gift.
My biological father left me at birth. My real father, the guy who raised me, loves Christmas. Even though he's not supposed to have alcohol due to health issues, my brother and i make him smile with fancy liquor.
i got a kids pretend make up kit for ages 3-6, i was 21 at the time and it was not a joke present. this was from an uncle we dont see very often but his has kids the same age as me and even came to my 21st birthday party.
It's sad how my sisters fall into that statistic of those who don't get their dad a gift for Christmas. He's done everything to respect their wishes when it comes to not interfering in their personal lives and they've ghosted him completely for almost a decade now. 2 of them to this day actually have the gall to say he is the reason things still go wrong in their lives despite the fact he hasn't BEEN in their lives, because they wanted it that way, for almost a decade. Make it make sense
Perception is a funny thing, isn't it. My mum has fond memories of her childhood and her parents. Loads of good times. My aunt, however, seems to have had a horrid time growing up. They were only 2 of six children in that family. My aunt currently has a terrible life and you can guess where she lays the blame.
So ALL your sisters have ghosted your dad? It seems like maybe you need to take a clearer look on why that may be. Sometimes when we are close to someone we don't see the issues they have with others. I'm not saying your dad is to blame, I'm just saying that if more than one sibling is ghosting your father, there may be a reason.
Could be worse, My Dad was born on Christmas eve. Even before he became a dad, he had to put up with gifts that were "both Christmas gifts and Birthday gifts"!
@Thurgosh_OG No they do not. We got both expensive gifts one year and they sat there gathering dust even though they were the sorts of things they'd showed interest in
That very much depends on the family 😞 My mother was fantastic, my father the total opposite. Your comment just made me feel uplifted, daft I know, I hope you have a lovely Christmas with your family 😊
You mean since kids stopped feeling like they had to put up with toxic relatives? It's a good thing that people are realizing that they don't have to put up with awful people in their lives just because tHey'RE fAMilY.! I think some people are using woke as a catchall phrase for things they don't like.
Bring back Good News!! Was always hilarious!! Never missed an episode
My Pitt bull gets adorably excited when he gets a new sweater. Friends have said he prances like a gangster in West Side Story

My dad died when I was a baby.I light a candle every year for the past 40 years for him.
0:18 I mean it could be that many of them have a negative relationship with their dad for justified reasons. Or maybe they're just short on money 🤷🏾♀

I wonder if there was a counter study showing how much women spend on their kids vs how much men did, how quickly everyone would change their tune.

My dog deserves Christmas gifts alot more than my father does
Yes, definitely!

She will be in the gag after to much presseco lol
I’m proud to be part of the 79%. Dad is a bit of a prick.
The same one you shot out of weeeeeeeeee 😂
I wish my dad was still alive to buy a present for
I feel you.
same
Me too
I wonder if the tories will be buying those crackers 😂😂
I'm sorry I would have loved to see his reaction
Merry Christmas Russell much love
Last thing I want to be eating on Christmas is minge shaped pudding.
What about pudding shaped minge?
Bowling Bob was spot on!!!!!!!

My dad is a real legend to me and everyone in this family and turned 70 this year. God, I'm glad he outlived all bets and guesses😊
Merry xmas, Russell! Just realized I'll finally be seeing you live next month! 🎉
Did I really just see a naked guy used as a bowling ball????
🤣💀
Don't tell people not to buy presents for their dogs, Russell! Ours still plays with the squeaky pig, especially, I got him last year! they do appreciate it! :)
Mine woukd run in just as excited as the kids and open his gifts. We put all his on his dog bed..he loved christmas..
1 in 5 dads dont deserve the name let alone a gift
Anecdotal evidence suggests it's more like 2 in 5. That would mean 20% of women are overly generous.
Same goes for 1 out 5 mums
My dad spends all his money on weed, alcohol and gambling. 😄
Wow! Misandrist sexist feminist talk.
2 in 4 for mothers
I get my dad a gift every year! Proud to not be part of the 21%!
I bought my dad an old NBA game for his PS4 cause he's bored of FIFA. Honestly the best reaction I've gotten from him for a present 😂 also happy to not be in the 21%
Love getting my Dad gifts and he’s always appreciative
I’ve mostly always got my dad something
Either a DvD or a works man tool
I usually refill our fishing stuff - bobbers, hooks, new line. This year I got him a shirt along with it.
Happy russell day 👍
Or you have no idea where your dad is because you have not seen him since he left for cigarettes.
Ha! I told everyone my dad had gone for a haircut!
Don't quit your day j... okay that just may not fit. 😂
Very sensible man 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Easy work for Russell these days. Take some years old clippings and hash them together then call it Russell Howard’s way old news. 😂👍
I get my Dad Dark Terry's Chocolate Orange every year for Christmas, so I'm not part of 21% of women who don't get their dad's anything for Christmas.
i got a kids pretend make up kit for ages 3-6, i was 21 at the time and it was not a joke present. this was from an uncle we dont see very often but his has kids the same age as me and even came to my 21st birthday party.
Hey its not my fault i cant find my dad to give him a present 😂
Constant hilarity
HES BACK
Well dogs show you love and make you happy. Dads usually just give you daddy issues
We all know something about you now 🫤🫤
Keep it for therapy.
Women with daddy issues 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

You might be the golden child and get very different treatment. Just saying.
Is it really that bad I don’t get my dad a gift? I can’t figure out what to get him-what goes nicely on a graveyard plot in the winter?
Flowers?
Can't stop laughing xx so funny xx

When theres new episodes???

I haven't had to get my dad a present in 8 years, on the account of him being dead. I must say that the deceased are very easy to buy for.
MERRY HAPPY BREXIT!!!
My dad is an ungrateful git. Unfortunately my brother takes after him
Do they get on well together? Perhaps you are the problem and not them.
@Thurgosh_OG No they do not. We got both expensive gifts one year and they sat there gathering dust even though they were the sorts of things they'd showed interest in
1 in 5 dad's, 21% um wrong!
I got my cats a cheap box an cheap bottle top they don’t care if an expensive toys it’s toy they can play with and have fun with…

Just desperate, recycled and predictable. Was never funny on mtw, 8ootc or any other comedy show for that matter. Without the news you got nothing.
