    Hi Naresh,
    This is very useful for beginners and new to BI in Oracle Cloud.
    Can you please add one video for how to use dependent parameters in ESS job registration?

    Hi Naresh,
    Thanks for this video.
    Can you make a video which will include "Manage Dependencies" ? Like View criterion, bind variable, and mapped parameter?

    Instead of hard coding Segment1 value, can you get these values from any query with parameter ? This is my issue.

    I did not get lov(which u created) link to ess job parmeter, even name is also not matching. How come parameter depends on the created lov by you? pls clarify...
    I mean you have created an lov using manage value sets and you did not use that valueset while creating lov in ess job..so how come it is dependent?

    Hello Naresh,
    I have a quick question from my ESS job,
    I have created a plsql job with the right procedure in ESS, We have described the procedure as to take parameters when we are submitting the ESS job, either C or P -- C is for one of the reports and P is for another report, Whenever we want partial report will pass as 'P' and submit and vice versa, but we are not sure how to pass the parameter in plsql job from ESS, we tried SYS_EXT.cmdLine or few system properties but no luck, Could you please help me with the correct result. thank you in advance.

    Please create Dependent Lovs in ESS Jobs, Like Business Unit--> Tender Number--> Tender Title. So what I am expecting is when you are going to run your ess job, first it will ask business unit, once business unit is selected then Tender number lov filtered out then Tender Title. Hope you get what is the requirement.

      @@keshavkashyap2589 Hi Keshav, i was wondering if you found the solution for your own question. I have same question on how to filter based on a previous selection in the ESS process perse and not in the BI report design. I created LOV but i really dont know how to send parameters from one selection to the other. A partner told me we can use public VO, i was wondering if you found something related. Thanks!

    Hi Naresh, we have a requirement to customize the parameters of the seeded "cash to general ledger report" which has three parameters like gl account , from period and to period. we wanted to hide "from period" parameter and internally parameter value should defaulted as the start date of the initial period of the calendar year. lets say the GL configured in the month of Jan-2020 , so from period value should be Jan 1st , 2020. Right now we can't see this from period parameter value being directly passed from the ESS job, internally the data model global level function manipulating this from period parameter value. so how to customize this

    • @TechTalkwithNaresh
      @TechTalkwithNaresh  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Abhi you can customize it by creating the seprate lookup for the parameter. So you can get the value as default start date.

      @abhishek-bb6vg 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1
